Lufaise... the place that favored stabby-stab types so much. The bane of Ninjas everywhere. XD

I just wish SE could take the bonuses of the new zones and cross it with the lag-free areas of the old-world zones. I cant even remember of places like Uleguerand being crowded in their height of exp activity due to the fact that everything was so spread the hell out. (not to mention those demons dont play for shit.)

I just had this nice memory of when my monk static was around level 67 or so in the mire. Some gimp merit party comes and camps on top of us. They had I think a paladin, summoner, a full af1 warrior, a full af1 monk, and two other jobs. Anyway we ended up driving them out while being 8 levels below them. We were killing faster and outpulling them on maybe 3 out of 4 contested mobs. If there was ever any sign that some people need to quit the game, that might be it.

Gnoles give 5% more exp I'm fairly certain (much like Phuabo), Sigil's EXP Bonus is the same as Sanction's. As far as I know, at least.

I think part of the reason why people tend to stay at the Colibri camp even when it's massively overcrowded is because it's so hard to get back to Whitegate once you're there. Your options are: A. Get someone to D2 you, which isn't really an option because no one brings a BLM to a bird party. B. Use your warp cudgel/scroll and lose cooldown/IS/CP/money to get back to your HP. C. Have someone tele you out of there, OP to a city, and warp back to ToAU, again costing you money and time. Or D. Have someone escape you from Halvung, then run to the Mt. Z runic portal (except there's probably no one in your party with escape and even if there was it's still a long run back, plus the cost of oils/powders for the run). If it was easier to get back home, you might see more people showing up, taking a look around, seeing that the camps are full, and saying "Screw it, let's go somewhere else." As it is now, most people probably don't want to go home empty handed, so they stick around and try to drive the other parties out instead of eating their losses and finding another camp spot.

I miss old area exp. I had some of my most awesome meritpts in the Range. Lufaise can be pretty awesome too. But nobody wants to go there. >.< Everyone grew a perma-boner over ToAU.
Lufaise is such a shitty camp, unless you got a THF/DRG/RNG only for melee, your lineup is gonna be eating at least 25% damage reduction, 50% if they're MNK, and with the rams being able to AoE HP down, and birds running at faster speed than puller along with fairly high resistance to sleep makes it pretty goddamn obnoxious.

It's like fighting uleguerand demon with less exp or something.

I cant even remember of places like Uleguerand being crowded in their height of exp activity due to the fact that everything was so spread the hell out.
I think when group 2 merits was added, it did get pretty fucking crowded.

Because I did remember seeing like 30 people out there when I merit on NIN before they added Nyzul.

Actually, you have option E. most of the time. Have a Remnants Permit (or Silver coins/Captain) on you so that you can run right back into the undersea and either come back out on top to do the mamools or use the Runic Portal back to Whitegate.
'course, arguably, the groups that would have this available would likely be the ones that can drive other parties out >_>

    Re: Bird camp.

Mamool Ja Staging Point is a much better choice. Everyone is afraid of the Skoffins so you can use them to keep chain, replacements take 3-5 minutes instead of 15 (Best to remove people who show up with poor gear), noone you bring to birds will know to bring cheap food for morsel snatch, and in general the experience points are awesome.

Which jobs you bring is up to you. Sometimes no xp is better than some xp. BRD + DD with a DNC sub usually goes chain #100+.

    He was referring to after you drop off the ledge. What I usually do (since I'm the one that usually checks camps in my parties) is just go near the ledge, if I see no colibri up then I know someone's there, if I don't then I just shout that I forgot warp and ask if any pt's there. >.>;;

Yeah, true true...but you can always have one person with a warp scroll or something scout too, and 5/6 people just run back in. It's more the mentality though. Groups with the mindset of that, well, if birds are full we're leaving, would likely check before having everyone run down.

    Re: Bird camp.

Since when did warp cudgells become hard to come by end game items?

"OMG FUCK YOU, YOU MADE ME USE 1 CHARGE OF MY WARP CUDGELL!?!?? And all because I didnt check comments or /tell leaders before coming out here, or simply pan my camera to see if the camps were taken."

Seems pretty straight forward to me:

Check comments before you go out there, /tell party leaders, send a scout. If camps are taken then go elsewhere. If you get there the same time as another party.. well the competition is on.

The people that do not have the tact/competance to do this are the same people that fuck up every other part of the game because they dont have the patience/intelligence to work with others.

    Re: Bird camp.

    a) I hate people that camp on top of me
    b) I hate camping on top of others.

Even if the other pt is gimp as hell, they can still ruin your chains easily. I'd rather go to an area all to myself and make decent exp, than fight with another pt and possibly make good exp, but often end up with poor exp, a headache, /say and/or /shout wars, and my opinions of humans falls another notch.

I really, really wished people paid attention to /seacoms, it saves so much trouble. Really wished WotG had more VT/IT outdoor camps. Upcoming beastmen zones will suck with their 16 min repop times.

Problem is, there's a reason for that perma-boner. All of our usual camps were taken last night, so instead of camping on top of someone else, my static went to Bibiki Bay. Oh my god, the pain. Amazingly slow repops, mobs spread out too far (kept losing the chain), sushi wearing in 30 minutes!!, no XP bonus (Candysense is level 8 now, so the XP would have rocked in ToAU areas). Not to mention, memories of years ago when 547357471075109 parties camped on top of each other there...

    Inventory/IS issues <.<? Not everyone can carry around 2-3 cudgels on them, and then there's some of us (k, me) that forget to switch cudgels when using. >.>;

    Re: Bird camp.

I was in Neo's party, we had been at the camp for about an hour when the party showed up. We were chaining quickly when it suddenly camp to a hault (lolwivre). These guys arrive as a whole group, knowingly camp on top us, turning our exp into shit and getting shitty exp themselves. After 30-60 minutes they finally leave, we get our camp back to ourselves, and disband shortly thereafter because we're tired from the bullshit.

    End.

Wow, so 5 minutes in Bibiky Bay takes longer to pass than 5 minutes in Bhaflau Thickets?

Your other points are all valid, but fast repop times are not ToAU-exclusive. It's 5 minutes in a field, 16 minutes in a dungeon no matter what continent you're on.

Oh man, i dont know about you all but the amount of QQ'ing when i pull a Wivre on bard is epic.

OH MY GOD WHY YOU PULLED THAT, BIRDS OR NOTHING. OMG WHY A SKOFFIN PULL PUKS OR MAMOOL JA ONLY.

God, all these wussies with tons of merits getting scared over some low IT garbage.

The only issue about Bibiki Bay at 75 is that alotta stuff pops T and without the exp bonus the xp is shitty. More reason for worldwide exp bonuses.

    Re: Bird camp.

It has nothing to d with pulling a wivre. It's the fact that someone took it upon themselves that they would put a restriction on my exp, because they wanted to force me out. Get the fuck out with that shit, I don't camp on top of anybody, no matter who they are. Bad exp is bad exp, I don't go out of my way cause it upon myself or others, and I expect the same from anybody else.
