Can Brutal Earring proc during hexa strike? I see that it can be used on other multi-hit ws, but I read that it can vary from ws to ws... does anyone know whether it's useful on hexa?

Hexa has 6 hits, 7 with Dual Wield. Max swings/round is 8. Yes, Double Attack can proc.Originally Posted by dalton

It's a 6 hit WS single or dual wielded, earring can proc twice if you're lucky enough.
Then why don't I get 17 TP from Asuran Fists.Originally Posted by Ichikun
Pretty sure it does count towards the 8-hit max.
Unless I'm mistaken full TP return on Asuran is 16 with destroyers yes?
Maybe H2H acts a little differently, since you're not technically dual wielding 2 different weapons.
Yes. 5+5+(1x6). The gear I wear gives me 5 TP per swing, sometimes 6, so it's definitely not 9 on the first 2 swings of my WS.Originally Posted by Ichikun
MNK WS always do one extra hit unless used without Martial Arts (Combo with THF main, no /MNK is a good example I think).Originally Posted by Khamsin
I could be wrong of course and I'd wait for Aurik or something, but I'm 99% sure the offhand does count towards the 8-hit max. It'd only make sense, since you can't get more than 8 hits in a normal attack round by dual wielding (KC/fake KC @ lv72, go try it).
Maybe you're right about this, honnestly I don't know.Originally Posted by Ichikun
But that makes no sense when every attack round is supposed to have a solid 8-hits limit.
You realize you just agreed with me yes?Originally Posted by Wizerd
16 TP return means:
4.9 + 4.9 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 16.8
Main hand + Off-hand + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 9 Hits.
Off-hand hit doesn't count towards total hits of a WS.
It's an extra hit that isn't bound to the mods of a WS.
So, I see no reason why Hexa can't DA twice when dual-wielded, H2H and dual-wield work the same in almost every way.

I don't care what you get with the gear you wear, the point is without any store TP the TP return is 16.
And without and store TP the TP return for an attack round with destroyers is 4.9 per fist.
Wait a sec, I think I misunderstood what you were saying in the earlier post.
When you said that yes, 16 was the TP return on a full Asuran I thought you mean at base, not with your gear, that with your gear you got more.
Are you saying that with your gear you get 16 on a full Asuran? Cause if you are then I'm wrong.
I was going on the assumption that full TP return without Store TP was 16.
sup PEMDAS
5 plus 5 plus parenthesis 1 times 6 parenthesis equals 16
Offhand hits do count towards the 8 hits per round cap in normal attack rounds, and I have never been given a reason to believe it works differently on WS.
I agree with that now. My whole argument had been going on the assumption that MNKs base TP return from Asuran was 16.
Most MNKs get 16, whether it be from Brutal Earring, Rajas Ring, Chiv Chain, Usukane, etc. The generally accepted TP return from AF is 16; though I suppose if you went raw you could have it down to 15.Originally Posted by Ichikun
The base TP/hit with H2H when using destroyers is 4.9 so any small amount of STP usually pushes it to 5.
Ok back to the Hexa Question, assuming it does proc, what are the max TP return rates with Hexa? I see 17 mostly in campaign. Does this mean I should see 18 when Brutal procs or what?
It'll be whatever your normal attack round gives you (with 2 attacks since you're dual wielding, so if you hit for 6 per club, then 12) plus 6 additional hits if you get the max of 8. Using the example in brackets, you'd get 12+6=18. I don't know how much your clubs give you.Originally Posted by Aerides
Quite certain that max number of hits is 8 including offhand. DE with AC and offhand should only be 8 hits I think, instead of 9--thats an easy test to run.
