Salmon Sushi, Fin Sushi.

I posted once about 3-4 weeks ago about this but didn't any sort of helpful reply. If someone cannot Test Salmon and Fin Sushi's ACC can someone please teach me how? I fail at figuring out how to test this sort of thing, but I really think its about time we know what the stats are on these two particular pieces of food.

Please assist.

Not sure if this works, but here is my 2 cents:

First you need a Parser to parse your accuracy %

Then find a mob that you can hit fairly and solo well. Preferably a mob without Blink or Shadows.
Parse accuracy % without food. Then parse accuracy % with food.
Take the difference to get the results.

Test in on a few more mobs to confirm test results.

Don't even really need a parser, when you /check a mob it tells you high/low/blank evasion. You need to manipulate gear to where you can find the toggle for hi/blank or low/blank. At this point you can know "how far away" you are from hi or low. This is where you test the food, and then compare it to the values before.

It can be quite involved to figure it out, and the more differing kinds of +dex/+skill/+acc gears you have the better. However, it can be tested without ever swinging at a mob.

Shldn't matter as long as it's consistent throughout the test.

Fin Sushi:

Okay I have isolated within a single digit of ACC what I've got unfooded for both low eva, high eva, and the 1 number into FLAT window for each. I am now doing it with food on, I have higher number and where it moves down into flat, I am waiting for night so I can wear specs and take my acc down.

the exact % of sushi came from JP books that only get released in japan and not translated So till we see a new edition of one we probably won't get exact %.

35 if you were using a 1h weapon, 52.5 (floored before or after the sushi?) if you were using a 2h.

Yes I was using staff, okay here are the numbers and stats:



169 Staff Skill and 68+2 dex through all of this (due to it being Apollo's staff equipped!)

Mob: Treant Sapling- Bhaflau Thickets

Before-Food, Numbers:

+7acc = High Evade
+8acc= Flat

+44acc= Flat
+45acc= Low Evade


After Fin Sushi Numbers:

-20acc= High Evade
-19acc= Flat
~
~
+8acc= Flat
+9acc= Low Evade


Special Notes: HP did not change, MP did not change, all stats except the Int+5 mentioned on pedia did not change.

Fin Sushi has INT+5 and 16%acc/racc like the other 'stat' sushi

Salmon Sushi escapes me, its lower tier sushi for sure, STR+1 and Tentacle Sushis acc+% is my guess.

I'd trust the upper bound, I was using screwy stuff to lower acc, including these which I may have calculated wrong http://www.ffxiah.com/item.php?id=16133&sid=29

I probably left out that its actually -27acc now that I look back on it... but that doesn't explain the rest. The cieling I'm much more certain is accurate

From playing around with salmon sushi after it first came out, I feel comfortable claiming that Salmon Sushi is similar to Tentacle in that it has a very low cap on the Acc it gives. Probably ~15 or whatever like the other one. It's not a replacement for Sole/Squid/Bream, etc.

Maybe as a "better than nothing" food on birds, but I'd just go with kabobs on those quite honestly.

No I'd honestly chalk up the difference in my test to me being a tard when using -acc
