On a serious note I don't think that guy was wrong asking for more. If you really needed it, you'd be willing to pay the extra 100k for it (at least some people think this way, which helps when people want to jack up prices). He probably wasn't looking to sell his, but if he could sell it at 700k and buy a new one at 600k, he's making 100k for doing pretty much nothing.
