    Problems with Attestation Mobs

I used search and checked out the ways people had pulled them and did the 2 part pull that Tekki swears by, had a THF run in and agg Goublefaupe so it popped the Hydra, ran out and bit and he died, I moved close to him and cast Dia on a Hydra Warrior of his and ran off. About 2 seconds later the PLD voked Goublefaupe and ran to the alliance. I started running the hydra far to the south and after about a minute, realized that all but only the WARs were on me but about 10s later the WARs went back too. What are we doing wrong? We ended up killing it anyway with 24ish of us but still, would be nice if it was a clean.

    Re: Problems with Attestation Mobs

my process is almost exactly the same as yours, but i let the mobs reset all the way into the tower. i doubt that makes a difference though. my best guess: someone in your party was resting. make SURE everyone's standing when you pull or you might nip someone w/ rest aggro and make for a very bad day. not sure what else it could be unless maybe you're aggroing the mobs before you hit them. this paragraph was pulled directly from my attestation lecture for my LS, written up myself, and when it's followed, we've never had issue with the pulls.

The most reliable way to pull all but Dag is to first have someone aggro the mob and let it summon all 6 of its escorts. Have everyone but the sacrifice stand FAR back so as to not aggro the pops. Have the sacrifice run a tad back so as to be able to be raised or at least safely tractored and die there. At this point, the NM and his 6 escorts are popped and standing at their pop. Another sac puller is needed to make this pull now. Have the sacrifice voke/shoot/or otherwise pull one of the hydra (NOT the NM! This is very important or the sac pull WILL fail!) and run to a safe place to die. Meanwhile, have ONE pld on hand near the tower to pull the NM from the tower to the campsite. The campsite must be away from the tower or you'll get a nasty hydra surprise when the train returns.
PS, that was dia and not diaga, right? one will work, one won't.

It was dia and there were only 3 of us remotely near it and I know I wasnt resting nor was the PLD. The THF agg pulled Gouble + co south of the tower and our alliance was stationed far to the north of the tower. When he died, I cast dia on the Hydra WAR and ran south towards our PLD who voked Gouble when I got by him and took it north to the alliance. Really threw me for a loop :/

Here's where our North camp was for reference, this was after the Hydra had lost hate and I came back to try to tag them to buy some more time to finish Gouble off:

THF pulls to pop Hydras, dies. Another THF or same THF pulls a Hydra after they reset, PLD pulls NM out of the group and back to camp.

That's how we did it and always worked. Not sure what happened with your run, unless someone ran too close before all the Mobs linked or something but sounds like he only linked a couple mobs and the rest linked with the NM.

bout all i can say is make sure that they all reset, then sac them just like you did. looks like you're doing it right, but maybe they have some weird behavior if they're pulled while still pathing back. it's all i got... i know we've had some irritating behavior from dag, but i always figured it was b/c of his damn pets.

    Re: Problems with Attestation Mobs

I think the problem was that you were trying to kite them, instead of dying after the NM was pulled off safely. I've tried this in the past, and the normal ones seem to go back two by two, coincidentally they seemed to go back in relation to the 2hr the NM used, but that may have just been a coincidence.

Don't fight the NM until the hydras have reset hate and are walking back (preferably able to path back without you in the way), that seemed to work for us as far as I can recall. Haven't done attestations in a while though.
