Didn't see any recent threads on this, was wondering if anyone picked this up yesterday, and if so how is it?
*edit cause exo is crying on msn saying the title was misleading*

It's getting meh scores for repetitiveness.
Must be why it currently has an 87% from metacritic.Originally Posted by Exoduso

For a second I thought this meant the end of that terrible TV show but i see the title of this thread is misleading![]()
lies, hacking people into a billion pieces while blood flies everywhere NEVER gets repetitive.Originally Posted by Exoduso
I know lol, that's the reasons they gave though.
And yeah the title is totally misleading, put a (Wii) in there or something.![]()
Was more misleading when the original name was just 'Heroes' also. ;/
Anyways, picking this up via impulse-buy the second I see it in any stores. Would go search for it asap, but my Wii is currently 45min away from my current location......been awaiting this game for quite awhile.

The only reviewer to give it a "meh" score is IGN, with the 7.8 for a boring overworld, which isn't even the focus of the game.
He doesn't like it because it doesn't have much belts and zippers IMO. No More Heroes is badass, I don't feel ripped off at all. I heard they changed the title from "Heroes" to "No More Heroes" because of the show. I guess the new title is a slap in the face.![]()
Nice attempt at a cheap shot, except that I never said anything bad about the game... I was just commenting on the scores I was looking at (specifically IGN, since it's the first I opened), and will probably impulse buy it otw home.Originally Posted by Larsa
Fuck off.
It's a cheap shot, but you did say it was getting meh scoresOriginally Posted by Exoduso
I was reading a thread on gamefaqs earlier said that said it wasn't getting stellar scores, and then I opened IGN and saw the score it gave so I assumed that more than 1 website followed suit. >.>Originally Posted by MisterBob

I still don't get how that "bashed" the game... I was very excited for this before it even got the scores, the gameplay looks fun as hell. I simply said that, from what i've read, the scores weren't that great.
Cast it off as a simple typo then.
ok, now that's settled you two love birds can go and kiss and make up.
Damn, I thought this wasn't coming out until February.
They moved it up like 2 weeks ago.
Going to have to pick this one up soon.
If your game was scheduled to be released was during the same week as DMC4 and Lost Odyssey, wouldn't you do the same?
It'll get more deserving exposure this way, they made a good call.
Just started playing, impressions to follow in a few hours.
Given the strong lack of good third-party Wii titles and the surprisingly strong reviews the game was getting, I felt compelled to impulse buy the game. Also, naturally, I walked into Gamestop and asked if they had any copies of the game left, they asked me if I preordered, I said no, and surprise surprise, they told me they had one copy left and sold it to me.
If I had a nickel for every "last copy" of a game I've gotten at EB/Gamestop over the years, I hate the BS they try to pull with preorder guilt tripping you.
