Yeah! Hell, why even use a shield at all? Dual-wield Mac+1's baby, it's more enmity. You don't need shield blocks when your shadows are up, just macro the shield on after Dreadstorm!

*EDIT* Now that I see your edit - basically, Khim can tear your shadows off at any time, and I'd prefer to have that extra security when I'm tanking a mob that can both double and triple attack and terrorize you and make your shield blocks useless. Note that I wouldn't touch a Hauteclaire on a wyrm, but on Cerb (because I actually like to melee Cerb for Spirits) and Khim (because he can pull of shadows on a whim), I would.
