3 actually killed it for me, liked the story but couldnt stand the gameplay.

I skipped a few of them because I didn't understand them lol, like building your rank up without attacking, blocking 5 attacks from those reaper things, and I got far on the reach the top one but I gave up on it in the end lolOriginally Posted by -Zer0-
I didn't think DMC2 was nearly as bad as everyone says... but then again, I played it first.
That may have something to do with it.

i should mention that im not really that into action games, so i only give the ones that i feel are of epic quality a shot. god of war, etc. i played dmc3 and it was overly difficult/frustrating and i just couldnt get that into it.Originally Posted by Elcura
The passive resistance one was a headache when you only have Table Hopper ><. Some of them just took a lot of luck, like the hidden orbs using the corpse, since the orbs just didn't want to appear no matter what you didOriginally Posted by Reapz
My copy finally arrived today (stupid EU release dates). Just got Gilgamesh for Dante, amazing game but the difficulty kinda dissapointed me on Devil Hunter mode at least, I've only died once and it was during a secret mission, closest I've came to dying on a regular mission was on Dante 2 which is apparently the hardest fight in the game. Can't wait to do Bloody Palace and DMD mode.

Still an amazing game, but I feel like they could have done a lot more to make it epic.
The Bloody Palace is a lot better than DMC3:SE's shoddily thrown together one though.
Mine came a day before release lol. 3 days after NA release isn't that bad though, better than the wait for games like Final Fantasy D:Originally Posted by Kiarax
The variety you get with Dante is amazing. Though Nero is bad for the brain, you get used to Snatch and then when it comes to Dante you forget how to bridge the gap. Well, generally, Dante's firearms are a lot better than Nero's. Pandora is fun to play with, as is Lucifer.Originally Posted by MisterBob
Not to mention the CS when you get Lucifer has got the be the best thing I've ever seen.

they made Vergil playable in dmc3:se, I kinda find it odd they wouldnt give that option for Dante.
No option. Also, you only play him 12-18, not 12-end. 19 and 20 are Nero again.Originally Posted by Souj

It's wierd but I couldn't stand using Lucifer and mainly stuck with Gilgamesh/Pandora and the sword to bridge the gaps. Although I mainly used Darkslayer/Ebony&Ivory during the savior fight.Originally Posted by Elcura
But I will agree Lucifer's CS is so utterly over the top funny. That and the CS before you fight Agnus as Dante.

I love the Lucifer. It's more of a support weapon than anything, stick the enemy full of arrows and let them explode as you're comboing them normally. It will boost your Style meter ridiculously. Lay some arrows in the air, and launch enemies through them for extra ownage as well.
Doubt it, Dante pretty much replays most of Nero's game, but backwards. This would only work out of Dante's levels were completely different. Not to mention the boss on stage 11 and stage 20 would be pretty much impossible with Dante. Would be nice to be able to go through 19 (Capcom's obligatory "refight every boss" stage) as Dante though.so they saved it for a d/l pack to charge another 9.99?
This game seriously kicks ass lol. I'm still playing on the lowerst difficulty since i'm having a hard time combining combos past high B/low A's, but i'm doing better at least... reving isn't as hard as it was before either, just gotta hit the left trigger a moment after you make contact (but it seems like it has to be after, not during.)
Finished normal and did the first 3 missions of hard, mission 1 was awesome on hard but mission 2 and 3 have just felt exactly the same (excluding the fact that I have near every combo and DT available). I keep dying on floor 18 of Bloody PalaceProbably a terrible idea to rush the Blitz but the timer always makes me rush and get my ass kicked.
Gotta focus on not taking damage on earlier floors to get the +30 seconds. The Blitz gives a huge time reward, so don't rush too much...Originally Posted by Kiarax
Can anyone recommend me one way or the other in terms of 360 version and PC version? I would honestly feel more comfortable buying a PC version because I have my own laptop with a very nice system and the 360 in my room isn't really mine (not my room mate's either but eh)... and we'll only have that machine for the semester. Think the PC version will be good?
