Can anyone give me a fast way to beat Blitzes, they tend to wreck me while I'm doing the Bloody Palace.

I am now beginning to like Nero a lot more than Dante now, I just feel like I can control him better and I like how he can easily combo. Unless I just suck with Dante![]()
Damn, died on Floor 69 of the Bloody Palace
Blitzes aren't too bad, but they suck up a lot of time. I use Dante, and generally I blast them with the machine gun version of Pandora (Jump + Fire). If you have an opening, 666:Omen works as well, should strip their shields.
If there are a lot of enemies around, keep your distance while shooting the Blitz and it will make mincemeat of the other enemies while you happily plug away.
No I didn't mean all literally, but all the ones I care about. I didn't waste my souls on useless shit like lolairhikeOriginally Posted by Kiarax
Air Hike's pretty damn useful actually![]()
I bought it, but I don't use it much on Nero because of Devil Snatch and I never use it on Dante because of Trickster, so I got a refund
It helps a lot more with getting the more secret orbs and fragments in many stages, especially where you're using Nero
Last boss is a bitch and 3 quarters on SoS, probably cause this is my first DMC game.
Game reminds me a lot of DoA though, where they intentionally make the girls tits bounce for 45 seconds after they've moved half an inch.
Woah, someone calling Air Hike useless? It's probably in the top 5 for best skills when used properly...
I've said it before. This board amazes me sometimes.Originally Posted by MisterBob
Combine Air Hike with Trickster, and its a whole bunch of sex.Originally Posted by -Zer0-
Yeah, it is. I rarely combine the two however. The first thoughts that come to mind with the combination are getting orbs with Dante in two places (above the restaurant in Mission 17 and getting the fragment on the lift), otherwise, I just stick to hiking to evade tight situations without shooting yourself too far from the enemy i.e. Nero against Angelo Credo. With Trickster at Level 2, I use it the most on bosses, namely Echidna and Savior, once I upgrade it, I'll probably use it a lot more in conjunction with other styles.
Trickster owns so much at level 4 if you can switch between it and Sword Master. I loved the style so much in DMC3, and now it's great that I no longer have to pick one or the other.
Also, the other thing that royally pisses me off is the end of ranking mission thing. It's so simplified but stupid at the same time. I mean, why should I be punished in overall rank because I didn't break enough shit to find stupid orbs.
I could go through entire levels quick as hell, no damage, no items, S for style and S for time but oh noes! You didn't smash every fucking thing in the room so you get a C or B there! GAY! Sure, if it's in a room where there's fighting going on, shit is going to get smashed in the process. I don't like taking fun time out from killing enemies to smash fucking chairs or go egg hunting.
It's also twisted that there's no differentiation (score wise/multiplier) between S ranking with 10 mins on the clock or S ranking with 14.59 on the clock, it kinda forces me to spend more time on a level just so I can get decent points by backtracking (lol) killing enemies.
Yeah, I stumbled upon the time differences in some level. As for the orb part, there's definitely a certain % where you can manage with an A and still retain the overall S ranking. Take for instance the first few missions; if you know the area well enough, and are confident with time and style, you can finish off with 80-91% orbs and still get an S.
Orb thing was my biggest complaint about ranking when I played...it felt so stupid. I wouldnt mind if it was the 3-4 secret big orbs in the stages, but every fucking chair? no thanks.
Exactly how I feel about it heh, I was getting B's and A's for orbs just because I didn't break EVERY FUCKING FURNITURE piece in the damn stage? gimme a break.Originally Posted by Kaylia
Before it used to be orbs you got in general (from enemies as well) so naturally, if you were S style ranking enemies you'd get a fuckton more orbs than you would from C rank. I miss that. Also, the difference in damage taken is stupid. you could get hit like 20 times, almost die find a green orb or 2 and still get a very good ranking at the end.
The orb thing has a minimal bearing on your rank. I have an S/S/D that still came out to be an S (with the No Item bonus as well).
On rank, maybe (I've been let down a lot by orbs) but it certainly affects your total score overall.
Ive had S/S/A and got an A rank.Originally Posted by MisterBob
