Bob, who do you use on bloody palace? For larger groups of enemies I tend to like Dante more but when I'm fighting smaller, tougher enemies Nero is a lot more useful. Sorry if you said it already but I didn't feel like looking through the thread <_< the blitzes fuck me when i'm using dante lol
mind you i'm not super good at this game![]()
Shotgun + Pandora > Blitz
If you see it charging up for that electric laser beam evade it and do Pandora's 666: Omen (Gunslinger Forward+O) If you're close you can get it off fine, but the timing here isn't really forgiving.
If you don't see it buzzing around then it could be doing the move where electricity gathers under the spot where you are and it appears in a burst of lightning. It stands around posing for a fucking LONG time, so 666: Omen at that point would also break it's shield.
For everything else there's the Shotgun (charge it up between assaults).
What you do after you break the shield is something else, but if you can kill it before it blows up (I've only done this once) you'll get SSS right away.
For Nero, a few Charge 3 shots pretty much break the shield.
Weird, with Nero it only takes me 2 shots, maybe I'm wrong. I just got up to the 80th floor of Bloody Palace just to fail.![]()

It works great, too.
He just O+ fowarding with royalguard to bring down the shield?Originally Posted by Faraoh
That is the best method to handle them.Originally Posted by Souj
He's meleeing the Blitz, and using the Royal Block move to stop the electricity counter-attack from damaging him. When the shield is down, he beats the crap out of it until it begins to turn red, at which point he uses the Release move. Killing a Blitz before it can suicide = huge style points
lol, I'm not that good with RG + I haven't got it leveledOriginally Posted by Faraoh
Wow, that was pretty epic lol. I'm gonna go run through some more levels and level up RG, It's the only style I don't have leveled really because I thought it sucked but wow.
RG has never sucked, it's as good as the user. Though I might look into trying that sort of thing and get good at RG JUST for Blitz's lol
I doubt a good deal of people can do what was in that video, not without a good amount of practice
lol, RG is the most powerful style in both DMC3 and 4. If you have it mastered, you do insane damage and you do not take damage, ever.
I was able to replicate it but not as fast as him, then it smashed my face in cause I suck at Royal Guard. Any tips on how to do it as fast as him?
You have to guard cancel out of your attacks
I'm not a total brain dead idiot, I meant I was hitting him and guarding fine but it wasn't fast enough to get his shield off before he started attacking. Then I died trying to use it normally. What I need to know is how do you use it fast enough so you can take off the shield before he starts moving.
Just started DMD mode...the regular enemies I have no problems with, but Berial owned my face (I did eventually win though...). I need to learn the patterns a bit better, I guess. I don't think I'll ever devote enough time to S-rank all the missions on DMD, so once I get my item collector achievement, I might just use my items liberally <_<
Berial is easy as hell (no pun) to evade, just close the distance with your devil bringer every time he swings the sword, you won't get touched.
Well I made it through M11 without using any healing items, though I did use a Gold Orb on Angus 2. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do that fight? I was alright, til the stupid swords and basilisks came out, and went into DT mode.
I find all the bosses really easy, the only attack Agnus does that's annoying is where he spins around with 2 of those land sharks (name escapes me atm) and then throws them at you at the end. Other then that his moves are easy to dodge and predictable. Just throw the Gladius back at him and Buster the dogs on the ground to shoot fireballs at him. They do alot of damage and it takes them out in the process. Just stay back and focus on grabbing them whilst keeping an eye on Agnus so you can avoid his attacks.
I like to handle Agnus' Gladiuses a bit differently. When he starts to summon, I DT and start an aerial combo on him. When they materialize, kill them in midair and it'll refill your DT guage to near maximum, so you can continue to beat on Agnus. You should get around 1.75x the normal length of DT with this, and even on DMD it should be enough to take off over 1/4 of his life if you combo well in the air.
Works on both Nero and Dante. Dante will obviously require Swordmaster (and preferably with Dark Slayer mixed in).
