I thought it went 3 > 1 > 4 > 2?
That's what I heard too.Originally Posted by Reapz
Yeah okay it's 3>1>4... they're completely disregarding 2 lol, but it should be considered as a sequel to 4.
Was DMC2 that bad?
yeah nvm i'm wrong.
Devil May Cry 5. Takes place between 3 and 1..
Another comparison shot:

Also, a link to what I tried pointing out earlier that they will be practically identical if both used HDMI:

So in the end, it all depends on which controller you prefer.
They're not actually disregarding DMC2, it just is the final game in the timeline, and it makes sense if you've played it.
Was it bad? Not really. It was a completely average game in all respects. The issue is that it does not compare to DMC1 or 3, which are both excellent games. If you have the DMC 3-pack, DMC2 is worth a play, but I wouldn't recommend purchasing it by itself unless you can find it for a pretty low price.
Also, god damn Vergil3 on Dante Must Die mode (DMC3). I forgot how ridiculous that fight was
they could easily make a sequal to #2 if they wanted to. it was left way open. tho honestly I hope one of the next dmc sequals covers him in the hell portal thing.Originally Posted by MisterBob
I saved all my red orbs and bought a shit load of holy waters for the Vergil and Arkham fights for DMD mode.
Heaven or Hell mode can get annoying real fast at some parts. Just all those spiked colomns that you have tojump over without jumpng to high or too lowor to close to the wall.
I had 2 problems with DMC2. First of all, it lost the feel of the first one by having tons of wide open spaces. How is a brotha supposed to wall jump in a field? Second and worst, it's significantly easier than the others. Hard mode is easier than normal on 1 or 3 when playing as Dante, and when playing as Lucia it's even worse. I played through both campaigns on normal in less than 12 hours total playtime, with 1 death (Dante vs. the last boss of his disc). I died more times fighting the first boss of the original.Originally Posted by Exoduso
EDIT: A big part of the difference in difficulty is that the guns of DMC2 are absurdly strong. Several of the bosses can be beaten at long range just by mashing the square button for a minute or so.
problem with that is, most bosses required you to shoot them otherwise you weren't doing shit (hi2u Trimerga). DMC2 isn't a bad action game, actually it does better than most other action games and at the time only DMC1 was considerably better. Just as a DMC game it's incredibly weak, enemies and bosses had no personality, neither did the environments or Dante.Originally Posted by Turambar
I did find the Despair Embodied fight exciting though, even more so in the Bloody Palace (nothing else to play at the time) when you had to fight 2 of them at the same time.
The game on PS3 will do an initial 5 gb install and then supposedly have 0 load times as well as looking a bit better. That is the one I will be getting.
those 5Gigs are gonna be the longest 5gigs ever.
5 gigs? fuck that shit I only have 40 free lol.
So delete all your porn off the PS3 and get your 20 gigs back![]()
meh every single game I have makes you install shit on the HD, and I also have about 6 demos right now.

What are you talking about? I just bought a long HDMI cable (gold heads, needed it to be long enough to go through the wall when I mounted the HDTV on my wall and had all the cables go through the wall) and use that 1 cable on both the 360 and PS3.Originally Posted by Lockecole7
Then again, not all 360's have HDMI ports, but mine does. >.>
