How the fuck do you get this good lol, I don't even know wtf he's doing half the time... how is he reving up while attacking? And he's using moves that I couldn't even pull off in the demo. >.>

Also, why is he taunting so much, what does that give you?

Only tried the demo once, so I might be wrong, but he is only using basic DMC move that were in every games (beside the grab obviously)

Hold RT + press backward + hold sword . It will lift off the monster for an aerial combo. He often grab it back with circle (or the xbox equivalent) to continue his combo. Basically, he was doing 2 hits, followed by a lift off and a few more hit, and was ending it with a grab.

The only other move he was using is the stinger (RT+press forward + hold sword button).


Taunting allow you to keep your stylish chain up longer, when there is no mobs around to fight (might give a little boost too)

I know how to lift mobs up in the air and I know the stab thing he does... he does OTHER moves though, that bursts fire out of his sword... there's one move he uses where his sword spins around and creates a circle of fire around him... wtf is that? lol.

And yeah he seems to be reving a lot DURING his hits which is wierd... haven't tried that yet but it looks cool and looks very useful since it makes his attacks stronger.

I thought the fire was when he was using DT mode. If that's not it, it's probably just an half circle + sword hit or something. There is never any complex combo in DMC.

Are taunt really making your attack stronger? I think he is just doing it for stylish combo (to get SSS rank)

Taunting does not work when there are no mobs around. They need to be within targeting distance (aka, you need to be able to shoot them) for taunt to work. Additionally, the mobs have to see you in order to do so


And I'm not saying mobs "fly all over the place" when DTing, don't throw a hissy fit. However, you are vastly simplifying the amount of potential moves you can utilize to make a mob go airborne. Additionall, ANY AND ALL DT'd mobs will begin to launch after taking a SET AMOUNT OF DAMAGE. Read the FAQ that someone posted earlier, it explains exactly how it works.

I thought you could do some power up thing, no? Might be wrong, I only played demo once like I said, before spending the night on rock band.

You can rev up to get powerup thingies that go away with each slash (in the vid I posted he seems to rev AS he slashes, that's why that backwards slash that throws enemies in the air looks so forced and has a fire animation coming out of his sword as he does it..) I assume they either do more damage than regular slashes or they raise your combo meter faster.

You have to learn the shit I told you, that will answer your questions. And yes, those tactics (the ones I mentioned) are present since the first DMC. He taunts to increase the devil meter rating (do it at end of combos etc.) you noob. Where's your ridill naoz?

You can rev up every swing Exoduso. It's a pain in the ass to get the timing right but the demo gives us plenty of time to practice it :D . Been waiting for this game for way too long.

His DT on Berial is fucking awesome, can't wait to see how it'll change throws on other bosses too. That site has 3 videos showing his DT, the second comparing a non DT'd throw to a DT'd throw on Berial.

DMC games (minus 2) are usually worth buying. I mean, if you're interested in DMC I doubt you'll get everything out of it by gamefly...

God, don't start the version debate. The 360 and PS3 versions are near identical, and the game is a port on BOTH systems (was developed on PC). I think there were some stupid comparison shots that showed slightly better colors on the 360 but better background textures on the PS3, but both were hardly noticeable.

Absolutely zero gameplay changes whatsoever, and neither suffers framerate loss or anything like that, so who gives a flying fuck.
