i don't see how 9 wins per attempt to fight him is a handout, it's still 1 fight a month maximum (a few more for people who can manipulate the system and "low man" him in 30 minutes). the first 9 chambers only drops head, legs and feet, most of which are LOL to just okay.

not losing feathers unless you win is really cheesy and promotes unskilled zerging.

The combination of each floor being 100% abjuration + only one person with feathers needed to access any floor does make it a handout. That's just my opinion on the matter. It's tips too much into the scale too much into reward. I'd say either make the abjuration drop rate less than 100%(though, I'm all for something much more reasonable than the present, like killing the average NM) or keep the current feather system.

EDIT: Oh, and just move some bodies or legs to tier 3.

I'm holding out for WotG dynamis that will drop all previous dynamis items, outside of DL drops and hydra items (to keep a reason to get access to xarc and tav, but refresh everyone with a newer more interesting (hopefully) dynamis experience. Old dynamis zones will still be used to get clearances for xarc and tav, and xarc and tav will be used by people who think that DL and tav exclusive drops are worth the effort.

all feathers are lost for all members upon entry into Odin's Chamber regardless of how many feathers they currently possess, Odin will not spawn until a person with 9 feathers enter the chamber.

Focus on AoE sleep? Easy alternative! Just bring 15 tanks!
...and 15 healers to keep them alive. leaving room for.. 6 DDs/BLMs?
    It was a joke.

Sad but true, out of this entire thread I imagine that would be the only post that the Dev Team would pay attention to.

Please be more careful with sarcasm in threads like this.

    • The difficulty of monsters within the chambers of Einherjar will now be adjusted according to the number of players who possess the designated "Glowing Lamp" item required to enter. The final encounter within Einherjar will remain unchanged.

    Did I fix the game?

Note: Specific items meaning the horrible Arrapago and Silver Sea drops that people go 0/50+ or even higher on.

Adjustment based on the number of players entering isn't a good idea. What are they going to do about each boss?

60 minutes for Einherjar will solve everything. It's frustrating to only have 30(Actually with entry and last minute bug, about 25 min) minutes and time out when the boss is always at 1-5%. Is especially frustrating that you don't get rewarded when you beat the boss and only have the one minute timer rolls around which treasure chest doesn't give you the appropraite winning reward points or feather.

Abjuration drops for each zone will really increase popularity. People rarely do Einherjar now.

It shouldnt be shortened, what an ls should do when they time out at 1-5% is figure out how to increase their dot for the fight, not whine that they didnt win so therefore it should be nerfed. This is the kind of changes the game doesnt need, enough endgame is cheapened as it is.

Edit: Somehow spelled fight as "feet", guess I was thinking of Aspid.

Getting more people and having a strategy is fine. Having 36 members constantly would be a dream come true. But on average, you can expect 20-25 members showing up for Einherjar out of a full linkshell. Low drop rate and reward lowers motivations to come.

Can people even read anymore or do they just see someone doesnt agree with them and ignore it? I didnt say anything outside shortening Einherjar because of not enough damage is silly. Yeah, the system as it is now isnt rewarding b/c 99% of the ampoule items suck, and most people do 3-4 with no drops and stop bothering. Still, that is a totally different issue from an ls losing b/c they arent prepared well enough to win.

In its current state you waste like 5mins getting in the chamber, stupidity that could be fixed by just warping everyone in.

Then if you get lucky the mobs wont be retarded (those casting bombs come to mind)

Then if your lucky it wont be the stupid Marid and you'll get the special mob to spawn and leave a chest full of goodies.

Then if your lucky the MB will drop 1 abj, yay man - i got some E.legs. /happy.

The 1min timer is pretty-stupid, if my team wins in the last minute of reservation - why the hell doesnt the clock stop automatically? why do i have to open a chest... or better yet the chest doesnt spawn and you get kicked or the game just takes a huge dump on you and says you get chest items but no feather. lol.

(Yes, both of those things have happened to my group. Except the elegs shit, i wish we saw one abjuration in that crock of shit event. lol)

Einherjar - the lump of shit brought to you by SE.

The options were just put together from the conversation in the magazine as a list of what is most likely coming. So if there's an option you don't see, you can still vote within your post like some have done. I guess an "Other" option would have been good.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.

Currently the system only supports taking 18 people in, due to them being in the same party. There's nothing the game can use that tells it there are others who are in the same area who want to join with you.

If they were to do an item where it warps everyone into the zone "So long as you have the item" then it'd be ok, but it'd have to be unique for each group, and I'm not sure if they can do that.

I believe that a lobby for entering and exiting time restricted areas would be a good approach.

    - People trade the glasses/lamps/whatever to the Trial Markings/Gate/etc and get teleported to the lobby.
    - Whenever everyone is in, someone clicks a ??? within the room and accepts the dialog, everyone gets teleported into the actual battlefield and the timer starts counting.
    - When the timer runs out everyone gets ported to the exit lobby, as it would be in the same area, your items in the pool are kept and you get enough time to raise/lot/pass, like when you exit a BCNM/ENM.

Also, I don't know if someone around here has already done the calculus, but the ammount of average time that Einherjar would require to provide 1 abjuration you are looking towards is quite hilarious (at two runs per week, that is).

I want to see AF1 and AF2 of SCH DNC, so I can lawl at ToAU jobs(even though I am playing COR myself...). The kick stance for my MNK that will probably see as much light as my Formless Strikes(from the sound of it) is so good that I can't wait for it to arrive.

Joke aside, some updates on Dynamis entry fee, Salvage droprate, etc would be nice... Well... this thread is about "Hopes and Dreams"... right?

Ofcourse they can do this. It's their game, they program it, they have the base code, they decide how it works. I'm going to assume you have little experience in this matter and as such i'll just explain a simple solution to this, based on the current system. Let's call it, Alliance Lamps.

    How would it work:
    - Leader of Alliance #1 buys a lamp at X NPC. When the time comes for the run to start, the lamp is traded to the spawn point (door, or whatever); once this happens, the spawn point returns two items: Lamp 1 and Lamp 2.

    - Leader of Alliance #1 trades Lamp 2 to Leader of Alliance #2.

    - Leader of Alliance #1 uses his lamp, which warps everyone in his alliance to the battle field.

    - Leader of Alliance #2 uses his lamp, which warps everyone in his alliance to the battle field.

You have just effectively reduced the time it takes to trade 36 lamps into the time it takes to trade 2 lamps and this without even making a huge overhaul to their (amazingly naive) system. Let me note there that there is better ways of doing this, but this is one that they definitely can do without even having to modify the system much.

Why aren't they doing it? Because either their programers fail amazingly hard (doubt it, i honestly just think their programin team is small and that's why their software is so poor) or their software designers really suck (this is quite likely, that or their designer is also part of the programing team and as such is over worked).

As i said though, there's much better ways of implementing this, but this is probably that which applies closer to the current framework they use.

I honestly think people need to realize that in a game the programers can do anything they wish, they just have to envision non disruptive ways of defining the groups allowed to enter an instanced battle. Individual items is probably the worst choice they could make as it is the most chaotic way of doing things, taking precious time from the event itself. It is poor design, there is seriously no other way of labeling this. They can fix it; they just won't.
