Thats pretty damn badass man. You could probably make some small cash doing this for people like myself who are two lazy to do it themselves.

Heh, ok I'll explain why it's misspelled. Back in the day when I was making my FFXI account Griever was taken. I've been using this handle in all my games since.
very cool, nice work.
I found something out midway through that's a huge time saver and could help anyone trying to do this on their own. You don't have to solder the LEDs on. Half way through I had the idea of wrapping them around the wire and crimping it tight, then putting a dab of hot glue over the exposed wire. It worked perfectly and was a lot quicker than soldering.
Let me know if any of you guys try this and need help with any of the wiring or specifics.

and also, you should get bored more often, if you can get any gamer chick away from her computer and to your room I bet you'd be so in
That is really cool, I actually just had a new side panel made for my computer, but it's tinted dark black. Not sure if the etching would show up as well.

If the acrylic is smoked, as in the actual plastic is dark, then the etching should work fine. If it's a film that they put over clear acrylic, you are most likely going to run into issues with the film tearing or not etching properly.
