I'm not much of a historian, but I'm pretty sure they were the first NA people do the basic things. They were on my server and they were talked about constantly by the NA population who were almost all under level 60. There was also that guy who sold his services as a PLD, bragged about having a truck, and later got caught cybering on EQ2, but I forget his name. BG wasn't the first thing FFXI ever gave us.
