Playonline Viewer crash after loading screen

I recently bought vana-diel collection 2007 box for my girlfriend so she can play FF. I install it on my laptop and her computer(both window xp) but for some reason playonline viewer close/crash right after the loading screen before the playonline viewer login menu even pop up. I can run the new bench mark program(3) no problem, so I know they support FFXI, however I don't know why playonline viewer doesn't even get loaded properly. I tried to use my old playonline CD and re-install POL on my laptop, but still no dice. I used to have FFXI running on my laptop before I re-format it, so I know it was working.

Any help/suggestion will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Are you using Windower? and which version of XP do you have if so?

Not using windower. Just normal Window XP with SP2.
