If he wanted to use an app to claim shit, he'd have applied to a LS that actually shows up to that sort of thing, lol. I'm more than willing to believe that someone was curious and tried it out a couple times before being too scared to run the thing especially after such a list was published.

I'm pretty meh about claim hacks because a) imo if you're dumb enough to do it you're dumb enough to get caught, so you'll probably get caught eventually and b) they don't really affect me or my linkshell since we uh, don't camp kings. If we start doing the latter again (we used to, got sick of the drama & botting & mpk) or if we see him flying around at super speed then I'll worry about it. Until then, let him have a fresh start!

Just noone has said "he's done bad" or "he's done good", just an "I think he was on the ffxi app list" ... not a "he stole x, y, z" or "he ninja lotted stuff and switched servers" or "there's lots of drama following this guy" or "he RMT'd his gear" or "he's a dick".

There's plenty of people on the ffxiapp list who bought it years ago, tried it out once out of curiosity and didn't use it again for fear of being caught or whatever (not me, but I know a few people who were on that list for that reason). What I was pointing out is that although I appreciate the warning, I personally am cool with giving someone a second chance when the "problem", i.e. using HNM claim hacks, they had isn't relevant to anything the LS does and thus shouldn't eventuate as an actual problem. If, however, they do turn out to be a dick or RMT or dramallama or a ninjalotter or lootwhore or whatever, that's a far bigger issue. Maybe I'm too forgiving? I dunno, but it doesn't really matter because the whole LS votes for them, so maybe what I'm saying here will be disagreed with by the rest of the LS I'm certainly not trying to defend his decision to purchase ffxiapp, it's a pretty dumb thing to do, I'm just saying I'm willing to give someone a second chance if they are reformed and otherwise drama free. (Notice how those who are "notorious botters" on the ffxiapp list are also the sorts of people drama seems to follow? that's what I'm wanting to avoid, really.)

Sorry if I wasn't clear: as a LS we have always had a strict no hacks policy, but since we dropped king camping we haven't really been doing the sorts of activities that cheats like that would help in. If we were to go back to camping kings, then I'd definitely be very, well firstly surprised, but secondly I'd be watchful over people that had any shadow of doubt over them.

tbh Minsk is a good kid, I don't know how often he plays anymore tho. When he was on Carby I remember he wasn't on much b/c of RL stuff but was a good friend.

Never had a problem with him on a social level when I was in a shell with him. He wasn't the most active or memorable player, but I don't recall him being much of a fuck up or anything
