Which usukane pieces do you have, and, since it's clear you did have a COR in your party, would you agree that it's safe to assume, with everything else being even, that if you didn't break the next STP level from your USU set that maybe, just maybe, the COR had thrown up a SAM roll and that this isn't some 1 in 1,000,000,000,000 anomaly?

Because breaking a new STP level isn't something that none of us find plausible, it's just the DA thing.
I'd say yes, it's probable that I had SAM roll at the time. I don't have my Usukane Feet or Body yet, the only two with Store TP. XD

1 in 1,000,000 anomalies don't happen in this game unless there's some kinda lag glitch going on lol (see Event forum thread <_<).

lol. I think the myth was busted when Aurik posted. Obviously he's not the gospel truth, but he generally knows what he's talking about is careful to mention if he's not too sure about something.

Needs moar Perdu Blade and Usukane Feet.

Geez Wizerd. Now you're changing your story? You go from:

I just don't see how you can jump into a conversation that is clearly talking about a 3x DA proc on jin, claim to have also seen a 15%, but then all of sudden act like, "oh well guys, what I really ment was...". You were clearly talking about a 3x DA jin you experienced and qualified it with how much damage it did, and the fact that you were dissapointed it didn't break 2000 was again clearly because of the rairity of a 15% jin (coupled with the pt setup you had) in which getting hit by the mob would have absolutely nothing to do with the damage you did on that particular weapon skill.

Looks like you either A) are just full of it, in which case it doesn't matter if you recant your previous statement or B) You got all scared when Aurik started posting or C) you're just a big wuss and are falling for sath's little "look at me I can scream the loudest i win at teh internetz!!1!".

In any case, DA can proc 3x on blade: jin. I've seen it and I'll continue to stand by that statement.

I don't think he understand the "rarity" of a 3DA hit Jin isn't really that fucking rare when you look at it. Aurik's numbers show that 3 DA Jins should be happening plenty. Every NIN should be seeing them at least once a week in regular activities and hardcore NINs, say a NIN who Merits and does Salvage like almost every night should be seeing them a ton too.

btw Sath saw a 15%TP Jin last night in Salvage while he was being a tool and bloodtanking everything on NIN. (12%Jin and got smacked in the face for the retard ppl)

Re: Senjuinrikio + Perdu WS TP Return?

Senj/Perdu produces 15% TP return with 13 store TP on a 2 DA procs.

Not sure if it had to be specific that both DA come from Senj, but I've been getting 15% occassionally since I got usu feet.

Re: Senjuinrikio + Perdu WS TP Return?

Sorry to bump this, but I just spent a number of hours over the last few days in Eldieme [S] doing Vorpal Blades on the Fortifications there, and I feel I can say with 99.9941% certainty that you cannot double-attack more than once with a one-handed weapon, implying further that you can't double attack more than once per hand when dual-wielding. I was BLU/WAR with Brutal Earring, so we are going to assume for below that I have a 15% DA rate, and 95% Accuracy.

I recorded 101 WSs in that time, which some may say isn't a statistically significant amount of WSs to make a claim like this, but I feel that it is for the reasons I am about to set forth, however as it has been quite a while since I took any probability courses I may have made an error either in the overall reasoning or in the specific calculations, so I intend to include as much of it as possible without making this post too long and overly detailed.

The following TP returns are possible on a Vorpal Blade with Store TP+11 and assuming one DA chance per WS: 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 6%, 7%, 8%, 9%, 11%. The following are only possible if one can DA more than once on the same WS: 5%, 12%, 13%, 14%. Let's call these from the latter group, "demonstrative TP returns". In the WSs I performed, 6 returned 3%, 2 returned 4%, 15 returned 8%, 57 returned 9%, and 21 returned 11%. None resulted in a demonstrative TP return.

    Let's call an "n-swing event" that of swinging n times on a WS, regardless of how many hits actually land. With a 15% DA rate, the probability of a 6-swing event occurring is 6 * (.85)^2 * (.15)^2 = 9.75%, the probability of a 7-swing event is 6 * .85 * (.15)^3 = 1.72%, and the probability of an 8-swing event is (.15)^4 = 0.05%.

I'm going to omit the math for this next part so this doesn't become tediously long, but I can make it available if need be. The chances of a 6-swing event giving rise to a demonstrative TP return is 77.3%, so the total probability of a demonstrative TP return arising from a 6-swing event is 7.5%. The chances of a 7-swing event giving rise to a demonstrative TP return is 93%, so the total probability is 1.6%. The chances of an 8-swing event resulting in a demonstrative TP return is 94.8%, so the total probability is 0.048%.

So the total probability of a demonstrative TP return occurring with 15% DA and 95% accuracy is 9.2%. That means that the probability of one not occurring is 90.8%, so the chances of one never occurring in 101 WSs is 0.0059%. Anyway, I hope I did all of this correctly, and I hope it puts to rest any remaining disputes over DA chances in WS.
