So, from reading that, I've come to yet again, the same conclusion I came up with years ago. SE fucking fails @ customer service. I mean as a company, shouldn't you WANT your customers to come back to you, or to stay? "We apologize for our miserable failures" =/= incentive to stay/come back

I wonder how JP forums are compared to NA forums in terms of animosity towards SE - if it turns out that the JP side is happy with SEs methods to doing things i would actually have an answer to why this company thinks the way they do. Maybe they just think NA/EU are just too whiny/impatient or maybe the JP are just too captivated with SE to care about 'XI's glaring flaws in the way they do shit.

Wish i could read japanese, it'd be interesting seeing how the other half lives.

Personally, I think that a good amount of JP players play FF FOR the RP based elements. Whereas we find the shit like, events with no real adequate rewards worthless, JPs more often than not, probably enjoy them. Now i AM just talking out of my ass on this one, just saying based on what I've seen personally/believe. And yeah as much as I say how much SE sucks at customer service, I got a feeling that JPs get a better treatment from SE themselves probably because the way the legal system over there works is i'm sure a lot different than over here.

Just watch lots and lots of dubbed Anime. Before you know it you'll not only be speaking in Japanese, you will also have subtitles included.

Meh, they only finally responded to 1up's inquiries because SE was finally done polishing their mail-in form.

Now, next question, any chance they're going to come up with a safe, abuse-proof way to return all the items lost?

What I'd like to know, quite a while before the RMT attacks, I went to somepage.com, and they hadn't updated their site since like, June or w/e. Why would anyone be going to a site thats months overdue on an update? :Q

Regarding Compromised Accounts

Recently, it has come to Square Enix's attention that an unfortunate number of players have lost access to accounts due to their becoming compromised by a third party. As such, we have devised a process that will allow these players to regain access to their accounts.

Effective immediately, the PlayOnline Information Center will begin assisting those customers who have lost access to an account due to it being compromised. Through identity confirmation, the PlayOnline Information Center will be returning account access to the original registrant. This process is currently going into effect to help restore account access to the original registrant as quickly as possible. Once access has been regained, the customer will then be able to seek reimbursement for lost items per our current item restoration policy.

Please contact the PlayOnline Information Center immediately should you find you have lost access to an account. We cannot guarantee we can assist everyone in these cases, but we will attempt to restore account access when possible. Additionally, by contacting us as soon as possible, it will allow us to take action to limit changes to the account, and help restore access to the original registrant as quickly as possible.

Or.. they could just have safeguards to change a password other than knowing the current one. Don't you only get one item restore, so if you get stripped, you only get one thing back.
