Name of a psx game

For the life of me, I can't remember the name of a game on the psx. It was of the same vein as syphon filter, but the two main characters were lesbians, or at the very least hinted towards it. I know there was two on the psx, with a third being made for the ps2 before the game got canned. Anyone remember what the name of this game is?

Was the first one any good? Picked up the sequel years ago and enjoyed it, albeit it sure relied heavily on FMVs thanks to the PSX's weak hardware.

The load times in Fear Effect were atrocious, but otherwise I thought the games were both pretty good. Not sure how they'd hold up nowadays, but I remember enjoying the story and the characters quite a bit.

The lesbian thing didn't show up so much in Fear Effect 1, mostly because the second girl wasn't introduced until the second one. The story in FE1 was pretty good, and the game was fun as long as you didn't run out of ammunition in every level (or you could use the ingame cheats... made getting the second and third endings much less annoying).
