Anybody really computer smart?

I found the culprit, it wasn't the drivers, it wasn't a bad card, it wasn't a setting.

It was the damn DVI -> HDMI adaptor plug thing. Anybody else play with one of these on? If so, is there a special "HD" setting I need to enable to be able to play?

I have mine connected to my HDTV and on the TV it displayed 800x600 60Hz when I first booted up with the TV and then after I changed the resolution to 1920x1080 it said 1080p and has had no problems since <_< edit: with a DVI>HDMI cable

Though it was that when you brought it up last night, as I said it explains everything else cept the shoes but that could be due to you fiddling as you said, glad it works now at least :3
