Do you think it would be worh it go spurge out and get gear for the AGI mod for Gungir or should i just stick with the standard str gear sets?

Since you have enough time to get a relic, you should at least do some tests on it.

It'd probably depend on what you're fighting, SiS and whatnot, but assuming your fSTR isn't capped already(not sure how much that would take for whaterver the base damage is on relic Pole), the STR build will generally net you more damage than catering to a secondary WS modifier. Edit: Then again I don't know the AGI mod for that WS, if it's like 80% or something nutty like that then go for some AGI, if it's the standard 30% go with STR.

There's a Gungnir DRG in my LS who I only ever see use Wheeling/Penta if that answers the question. I don't remember seeing Geirsgokul much after stage 4 (Dynamis onry) and the first few weeks. I've never asked him for details though.

You'd have to do some tests to be sure, but chances are no matter how you try the 100 dmg on the weapon will out do the relic ws with Penta, wheeling, and skewer.
The relic ws is only for solo or if you end up pulling too much hate and no jumps are up. Although 60%agi mod is pretty gay for a melee job, I can see SE's idea behind it. Because drg has so much access to +parrying skill and agi effecting parry, while soloing with the shock spikes from the ws, and a large amount of +parrying skill and AGI I would hope one would parry a pretty good amount then add in the stun from the spikes.
But drg really doesn't have much agi gear they can use other then af2 hands and agi rings/earrings. Never really looked into agi gear much, I just stick with +parrying skill while soloing cuse parrying is sweet.
Nor do i have a gungnir.

I still have mine from the last Sandy run just for S&Gs. I equipped it after I died during the run (Hundred Fists to the face) and had a 4-hit build. Too bad Penta hit for just under 300

Main reason I kept it though was cause I wanted to see how high I could get Drain Samba to cure for.

Well considering it is nearly a completed relic that i have funded for myself with little end game linkshell support. I do not think to many people can say that for themselfs, where as most cases some endgame ls just hands them one.

It's the difference in servers, certain policies are utterly alien on some. On Asura I'd say most relics (vast majority even) are self-funded without help from the player's main LS (mixed-LS dynamises are common on Asura) compared to some other servers where it's common policy for linkshells to pay for relics and keep it all in-house. Mentioning this for Carpedm's benefit, as he seems to assume that he's the only one paying his own way.
