I don't enjoy puzzles where half the time I'm trying to get through the author's tortured English. I remember doing most of these logic puzzles out of a book in grade school but I had an easier time because the fucking puzzles were legible back then.

I would not have got number 8 in a million years btw. I just don't think of digits as having geometric properties.

The left page is probably just there because they say a particular letter was inside, so that's it (albeit shifted by the page number).

I'm not sure how they figured it out, but I figured all of the numbers on the right were sums, so whenever the 4 numbers = 0, then you know each number had a "value" of 0 (as 0+0+0+0=0). It ended up as a process of elimination once you knew the first three or four numbers. in the final number, 8 was the only one that had a value, and that was 2.

it can be pretty much be done 2 ways, first by counting the holes which is hard to tell is the point at first, and the other way is to figure out which numbers are worth 0 and using that you can figure out what the other numbers are worth
