She was telling me that crazy shit like that was happening all the time over there. She would hear bombs go off every night. She's been back for two weeks and she still can't shake the feeling of being on the edge constantly.

My sis just got back from Afghanistan and we finally hooked up for some lunch today. We talked about this very thing. She was telling me that crazy shit like that was happening all the time over there. She would hear bombs go off every night. She's been back for two weeks and she still can't shake the feeling of being on the edge constantly.

idk whats with your sister but everybody I know that has come back from the middle east in the last few months have said how much better it's getting over there >.>

Pardon me if I'm seeing this as a rather narrow sighted statement, but I find it kind of outrageous that this is presented as the data to "worry about" when this occupation has taken around half million of lives and the coalition casualties are "just" about 4000 of them.
