Pardon me if I'm seeing this as a rather narrow sighted statement, but I find it kind of outrageous that this is presented as the data to "worry about" when this occupation has taken around half million of lives and the coalition casualties are "just" about 4000 of them.

Did anyone else read Kiln People? It's a little complicated but the important part is that wars are treated like sports and no 'real' people get killed. I think someday we might be able to satisfy the need for wars with something else if anyone is still around then.

Plain and simple, humans are animals, although more evolved. We won't magically have enough resources in the world for billions and billions of people, no matter how much hippies might wish it. The survival of a Nation will mean it goes to war to gain access to the resources it needs to ensure it's survival or risk dying from the inside out. There hasn't been peace in the entire history of mankind, nothing is going to change that now.

Meh, whatever you wanna call it. Even though I may not like the majority of Americans, being in the army is the most underpaid and undervalued job for doing one of the most dangerous things on the planet, and as long as these people are dying for "peace" or "oil", it's not gonna be right imo.
