Should be compatible. From the DS's standpoint, the flash card is just another game, so the card should work on any DS that it physically fits in.

I thought you had to short a wire to get those cards to work for their custom firmware to install which allows free execution of unlicensed games no?

Nope, you just drag the files from the CD to the Flash cart, and put it in. You only have to open up the DS if you want to play Slot-2 (GBA) games from a Slot-1 (NDS) card. You can play Slot-2 with Slot-2 and Slot-1 with Slot-1 without opening anything.

And yes, all games on the R4 work with Wifi.

NDS and GBA flash cards don't modify your DS or it's firmware at all. All the "magic" is in the card's software, which is loaded just like any other game's code.

Small necro bump and didn't think people really wanted a new topic for this, but I found this video on gametrailers. It's a comparison between the old FF7 summons and the new Crisis Core ones. I can't believe those are PSP graphics but it's still just amazing!

18 day necro, not so bad I guess <<

Anyways, PSP has some good rendering capabilities, but I still use mine for anything other than games more or less lol.

Pre rendered completely. PSP's graphics are PS2 at best, PS3 probably couldn't even handle what was shown in that video in realtime.

DS is fun because of the stylus stuff, but I have both because PSP has some good games and some good games to come(Crisis Core + KH)

If I had a PSP I'd buy that just because it has Bahamut ZERO in it, I think that's the pimpest summon in any game. Ever.

    Re: PSP or DS?

I've had my DS for a few months now, and have been playing it without a screen protector. I originally intended to use one, but it had sticky stuff on the corners and I didn't want to damage my screen by sticking that stuff on it. Unless you can peel it off without leaving residue?

So far the screen looks alright, but I may still consider using a screen protector if I can find one that doesn't reduce clarity by giving it a filmy/foggy appearance, or have sticky stuff that'll leave residue.

Question! Anyone use protective cases for their DS? I spotted this beautiful black leather Zelda decal case at Target and it's playthrough so you can put your DS in it. I was considering buying it. I also picked up the Hori filters which work really damn good. Covers the screens, the top part of the DS, buttons/d-pad section. Yeah I know that's a bit much but I don't want to fuck it up at work.

Should I go with it? Yay or nay?

I had mine "professionally" done by the import store guys I bought it from. It's still on my DS perfect and I don't even notice it. He was using canned air and such :O it looked like an operation!

I don't use anything to protect my DS at all except the screen filters.

    Re: PSP or DS?

Got a DS with a CycloDS + 4gb card, and a PSP with custom firmware + 8 gig. I like the official games for the DS better, although there are still great games for the PSP, theres just more for the DS imo. But I still like the PSP best still because of all the homebrew and emulators it has

Where did you get the CycloDS from? how much did the 8GB card cost you? And I think I wanna invest in a PSP for the homebrew stuff.

I'll quote myself since this thread was dead for about a week, but does anyone know of a good screen protector that is easily removed without leaving sticky stuff on it, and doesn't get filmy/foggy?

I got my cyclo from modchipcentral.com, it's one of the more pricey ones, but imo the best flashcart out at the moment. And the 8gb card was about $100, again pretty expensive, but a worthwhile investment if you plan on putting a lot of homebrew and ISO's on it
