Intrigued, I looked for other posts by Suiram about Wopadobop. I couldn't find much. But I did find this gem!

----------Background Story------------

Chibchiba formed Kaboom waaaay waaaay back as a LS (there was actually a shell) for BLMs to spam KS99 Turtles back when KS99 was fresh and sales were good. Remember 20M Unshos? There were no established methods for BLMs to kill Wyrm or Behemoth back then so turtles were all we did. Even then we had to use manafont to kill.

For some reason, activities were no longer organized after a while, so needing some income, I kind of gathered everyone back in Jan 2006 after getting the OK from Chibchiba. Wopadobop is included. For a time all is good and all of us became technically the richest group (from doing ENM, KS99...etc) of BLMs on the server.

During the "golden" days, our hierarchy goes as such. Chibchiba was the founder and boss and I am the main organizer. Well I was still studying then, so there were times I were busy. Jinra came in as a backup organizer during those times. Next down, Charitwo (despite all his faults) was a great help with administrative tasks and gil distribution. Wop was great in getting extra people to come in to help when we needed (Note that a good number of those extra people are now in Wopaco) people and getting new strategies from BG for us to use.

Chibchiba and I took the back seat for a while and basically let the other 3 people run things for a bit at some point in time. Let's put this plain, all of them didn't like each other so to the 2 of us, it was an administrative nightmare. Then, something comical happened...

Jinra got fed up with Charitwo and put up a suggestion to kick Charitwo. Wopadobop decided to chime in to that. And so Charitwo got kicked following a majority vote by the existing members. Jinra quit the game a few months later and Chibchiba got banned (I can't remember when this happened actually, was it before letting the other 3 people run things?) . Anyway Wop and I were the 2 people left.

Before he quit, Jinra was advocating kicking Wop and tried a couple of times to persuade Chibchiba and I to do it. This was in response to Wop starting to do his own Bahamut V2 runs outside of Kaboom. In a way, this was a rather anti-LS behavior since you can consider this to be a conflict of interest. However, Chib and I didn't really think it was too much of a deal since we only do events once a week and had to split time between several BCs. Furthermore, profits from the BCs are dropping sharply so allowing members to get extra income from outside our once a week event is perfectly acceptable to me.

I consider this private group to be the beginnings of Wop's Wopaco.

During the many runs Kaboom organized, we tried to hit Jormungand and Vrtra to try things out. Things did not turn out well since it was a ragtag group at best. But we did manage to reduce Jormungand to <20% with a completely random group of people. Vigion, leader of Caffeine (my HNMLS) gave the OK for me to go ahead with this.

Perhaps this gave Wop the idea that the 3 wyrms are doable without a proper LS? In any case, a few months later, Wop started hitting wyrms with what I believe to be the core members of the current Wopaco. There was no LS when he started. Everything was coordinated by /tells. I must admit it was pretty amazing to pull it off. I kept my ties to my existing shells and didn't join in, though I did help from time to time.

And this is my perspective on how Wop formed his Wopaco. Perhaps he should give a better history...

Ok, now the comedy. On Aug 18 2007, we have a scheduled Bahamut V2 run. As usual we put up a signup sheet and filled up the shortfall using tells before the event. And as usual, a good number of the 18 people came from Wopaco, including at least half the tank party.

Timeline of Events that day:
~3PM PST - Still lack 2 BLMs, so I asked in Limbus who can help. Niv and Suiram said ok.
~4.15PM PST -
Wop /tells me a BLM from Wopaco can come to help but since I got Niv and Suiram to come, we're now full, so I told him that. I also talked to the BLM in question explaining that we're already full today. Ok, now Niv and Suiram are from Kupo and Wop has long been known to hate Kupo.

First he /tell me that he would drop the run to allow his BLM to go. Then he started accusing me of being a Kupo-lover. (like what???) Then he wanted me to remove Niv and Suiram from the list so that his BLM can take part. I refused since they are already there in Tavnazia and there was no good reason to do so.

Then Wop started saying that he will stop all the Wopaco people from participating. Now this is infuriating. 1/3 of the allliance was made up of Wopaco members, losing them will mean a canceled run and problems for future runs. And to look for new tanks in such a short notice can get really hard. I asked Wop to take back his statement 3x (or was it 2?). After the 3rd, I said OK and kicked Wop from Kaboom. (In a space of 2-3 min). I made the following post on Kaboom's forums after the event.

Officially kicked for annoying me today. Those of you who took part in the event will understand why.

His LS members are not affected but not sure when his "ban" will last. Just keep me updated.

Honestly I don't think Wop ever expected me to kick him. All throughout our partnership, I would like to think I had been very accommodating. Perhaps he thinks I am easy to bully? To give him some credit, I think we used each other enough to make our first relics. Strictly business indeed.

Anyway later that day, Chibchiba (now playing as a new character) asked me if I was being too harsh on Wop. (Guess who Wop has been crying to?) I said no and stayed by my decision to remove Wop (and effectively 1/3 of my regular group because he is "banning" his Wopaco from taking part ever) from Kaboom.

To the BG folks who think Wop leeched a Bahamut staff from Kaboom, no, he actually worked for that one and he paid 10M for it. As for his Bahamut mask (heh, this is another comedy), he was technically kicked before paying off everything. But since he already paid the current sale price for it, that can be considered worked off as well.

Additional observations...

Notice how ready Wop was to take a Screenshot of the conversation with Maximtrueblade? (2 pages back). Apart from Charitwo, I doubt there is another person I know who is so trigger-happy on the screenshot button. And makes you wonder if he had been expecting me to jab at him here at the forums, no?

Finally, be a man and give some credit to your sister Apollymi for supplying you a good deal of the gil to upgrade your relics. Self-funded my foot. At least I believe you don't buy gil.

Just because I tend to be pacifistic and laid-back in the game, and that I tolerated you for so long, doesn't mean I take acts of aggression well (Did I mention I hate being threatened?). Do you think you are the only person who is capable of scheming and malice?

Well...maybe he does have a place. For uniting old rivals against a common foe...On other games, I think he would be one of those marked to be PK-ed on sight. I don't think I ever remembered a time Caffeine and Kupo helped each other on Tiamat until Wop came into the scene. Ironically, I had wished for this kind of cooperation and that it would be Wop to bring this about. On the other hand, Kaboom is an achievement of cross-LS cooperation and I am proud of that.

Do I hate Wop? Absolutely no. But his intentional attempt to block HC on Sunday deserves retaliation of some kind. I can't rally people on Pandemonium to kill him on sight can I? One good turn deserves another.

To members of the Wopaco, kick Wopa and rename the LS. He is just making you guys work for him. As far as I can tell, he doesn't even put in half the time some of you guys do. Is there a need to let him leech even if he is the "founder"? You guys have the people now, I am sure some of you are able to take up the mantle of leadership. In words that he would have said, "1 less person to share the gil."

Wopaco prospering...no doubt. Gil is a universal language and has a certain attraction value that is undeniable. Now if people would stop paying 18M for a pair of running shoes easily replaced by powder boots and sprinter's shoes...
