    6th floor QQth

    Well, our group saved 2hr for this 4 Archaic Gear, 4 Archaic Gears, 2 Archaic Rampart and we barely killed it all under 7 mins. But still no sign of any QQth. Does anyone know how to pop these 2 QQth? Or perhaps i took down the time wrong

    I record the time based on when I see the gears pop after I port up; I'm always the one to port. If you're timing it based on when MP/HP is refilled then you barely missed the time by a just a few seconds.

    Ya we do this every time and always get at least 1 Treant. Hell our last time we did it, the 2nd fucking rampat got of THREE fucking Treants. Soul Voice, Amano sam 2 hour on first and 1 still got off. Hundred Fists on second and THREE fucking reinforcements still got off. Stun spam, Chi Blast to inhibit TP, its alot of bullshit. Btw for us: Bluemage stun has never worked on stopping it, and blm stun has failed every time (ive seen chat log of it stunned and still get off), so idk.

    We have alot of experience with salvage and really hot DDs and stil cant -consitantly- pop the 6th floor QQs. Every time we are on track we get fucked by something. We still go all out on 6th floor anyways, because it saves time for boss.

    Do you folks have someone pre-pulling everything for you?

    We have little trouble popping even without excessive 2hr use, and yeah it gets a little tight when you get a double-reinforcement, but you save a toooon of time by not having your melees move at all and just have someone constantly dragging back another gear to kill.

    I'm not trying to be a complete jerk here, but I just don't understand the difficulty. Yeah, bad luck can screw you (we've never gotten triple-reinforced from one Rampart that I can think of, but I bet that'd make life interesting), but the number of mobs to kill vs. time available isn't that bad, especially with someone merit-pulling gears.

    Can't stun reinforcements, can only hope to kill rampart before summon occurs.

    I think the only two hour we use is soul voice. Just SV buff the melees before the port up. After about 2 minutes, rebuff songs (troubadour usually).

    We almost always get reinforcements but it's usually not a big deal.

    We usually have the RDM chainspell nuke one of the ramparts. That one most of the time don't pop any. The second rampart that some other melee (or BLM) 2-hour on usually pops 1 treeant or so.

    You can't stun reinforcements. The way we try to do it is to stun before it even uses reinforcements (buying us some time so less trees pop). With 2 monks and a thief (thief has mandau, 1 monk has relic other destroyers) we've cleared the floor in under 4 and a half minutes (set up was mnk mnk thf rdm brd brd for one pt, and a solo rdm in other) - we always have mobs in camp, one monk hundred fists each rampart, build TP before porting up - only times we really cut it close is when we have 1 bard instead of 2, and even then we make it in under 7 minutes (Usually 6 and a half). Make sure everyone has sj, fully buffed, etc etc. Make sure to pop those icarus wings and monarchs too. Also, try to save tp on the previous gear you're fighting prior to a rampart (an asuran fist can drop at least 20% off, mercy stroke drops like 30-40% IIRC)

    The key to pop them is to pull fast and sleep ontop of the melee. We usually do it with 6-7 members, SV as soon as you warp up, melee use different drinks that were in coffers, rdm pulls and sleep ontop of the meles. Each melee 2H a gear, rdm 2H first rampart. Typical setup is mnk mnk drk whm rdm brd (+ thf) ; brown belt AF2 legs monks ftw.

    ?_? Can't pop 3 trees unless one dies, unless I read it wrong. Only 2 trees are in the dats per rampart.

    Anyways I took my group with 0 experience on this 6f rampart kill, despite the ramparts popping two trees , we still killed it (although we got it with 5 seconds left).

    No drop on either qiqirn ftw

    We usually clear 6F now with about 1.5-2 minutes to spare, as MNK MNK THF RDM WHM BRD. Only our BRD and MNKs 2hr, but other than relics us three melee have some of the top gear. If you get any Barbarian's Drinks, and you Chi Blast > HF properly on a Rampart, it won't even try to use TP until 25%. As long as you kill it (Asuran Fists @ 25% sharp) before Reinforcements goes off, it won't pop a treant.

    So while you can't stun Reinforcements per say, you can "stun" it by having it die midcast. Our time jumps up from 5 minutes to just under 7 minutes with 2 double reinforcements, about 30 seconds per reinforcement (the treant doesn't take this long to kill, but if it pops two it usually means we took longer on the Ramparts too).

    If not as well equipped, can try to get STR from 1F. Bones have an off chance of dropping a set of 2, or you can get that cactuar.

    One thing I figured out at some point and that I've never seen mentioned here, is that of the Rampart's two forms, "gate open" and "gate closed" it only uses Reinforcements in "gates open". So as I am usually BLU and we can feed TP like nothing else, I usually spam multi-hit spells to force two TP moves when gates closed, then turn so only MNKs are on it, gates will open, sometimes it'll use a TP move while open, but ideally it won't and when it does it's not always Reinforcements, then when it's about to close I turn back to hit it more and then try to force two weaponskills again, repeat. We don't often worry about 6th floor Arra since I'm the only person who picked morrigan robe for wishlist, but I use this mostly to speed up Silver Seas 4th floor, and I don't see why it wouldn't work here as well, although those ramparts do seem more predisposed to using Reinforcements when possible.

    I've done this with different set ups, odd thing is we tend to have more success with less people. Not even mentionning that JP shout run with relic GK+bow sam and relic polearm DRG that cleared 6F in under 3minutes...

    I cleared it once with 6 people, no relic just standard equip: MNK MNK THF BRD WHM RDM. It's all about pulling wisely and 2H order. Thf was pulling. BRD SV minuet haste at start with that meritII JA that enhance the duration. RDM nuke. The 2 monks 2H after another, used TP wings and drinks found in chests etc, the gears didn't last more than 20 sec each. We saved TP on the last tripple and unload everything on the first rampart- didn't pop reinf ( died in 3 sec). The RDM chainspell nuke 2nd door-1 reinf poped. It took about 6 minutes. That was a JP shout lol.

    In my ls we do it consistently now but we got a few more people. Usually MNK MNK THF RDM WHM BRD+ 2DDs ( including a BLM sometimes). What we do is have RDM pull and sleep gears on top of DDs, because DDs are always gravitied. BRD SV at start. After killing 7 gears with DDs 2H, we save TP on 8th, unload on the first Rampart, RDM CS nuke 2Nd with DD hitting.


    Also about cells, its a good idea to clear the chariot room if you got time or don't do boss. The mobs there can drop STR and rings, hands, body etc.

    get enough TP after 5F chariot

    send the whm to teleporter, get BRD to sing SV + songs, warp when 2nd wong is 60% spell casting

    should help about 1 min

    if your grp got a blm, make them help sleep so rdm or brd can pull, full nukes on Ramparts. And yea last mob is good for rdm to convert and CS nuke

    DDs dont waste time on utsusemi ichi, use NI onry, or get hit and blood tank when ni recast timer is down. WHM just focus curaga actually. Make sure you safe the medicines for this floor, helps too

    My group did this today. It was our first try and was a success, though we knew going in what the procedure was for it thanks for BG. We were MNK SAM THF BRD RDM WHM. Mnk and sam is nice because darkness actually deals good damage. exciting the get 2 extra NM per run

    My group usually tends to get screwed on hp cells, so merit-style pulling is usually out of the question as I'd die in one or two hits as bard

    Last attempt I did at QQTH 6f was semi successful...seeing as how we didn't wipe. We usually end up with too many links hitting the blm/rdms to deal with it. Otherwise, with only mnk nin and thf for DD, we just had a rampart and maybe on gear left at 7 min.

    Never been able to pull it off yet in 5 or 6 attempts., and usually don't even try if we have 10 mins left at/during chariot death.

    I merit-pulled them several times as RDM (without W. Legs, mind you). Blink/Stoneskin and pull from max range, and they shouldn't land more than 1 hit against you before you can sleep them (if you even have to).
