Valentine's Day is a bullshit holiday designed to make men jump through hoops for women who don't want or appreciate them.

egh not true. I mean it could go both ways. Men just end up getting the shorter end of the stick.

I talk to my Girlfriends boss to let her have the day off (she thinks she has to work), so i am going to send her to a spa (thank jesus i book this back in decmber) and then while she's there I’m going to try and cook a dinner for us.

Kind of at a loss on what to do after that though.

Na, I did this before for an ex. She freaken loved it even though the hints were a tiny bit too hard for her. She got all of her friends to help her and they were all like "O M G I wish my bf would do stuff like that for me!"

Many times we take the things that our significant other does for us for granted because we are just use to expecting it from them.

Valentine's Day is a perfect day to remind them of how much you love and appreciate them for everything they do for you. (Doesn't -have- to be an elaborate night.)

Be happy if you have someone special in your life to share the day with.

Actually I agree to a certain extent with this person. I mean I don't see it as "ZOMG ANOTEHR DAY INVENTED TO MAKE MONEY OFF THE PROLETARIANS IN THIS CAPITALIST NATOIN!"

But yeah, I don't let what others perceive as a "special day" dictate when to express my feelings. I express em whenever I want, her birthday (all the flowers were born that day too! :nikkei: ), anniversary/day we met, among others.
