With all my Japanese knowledge, I still can't figure out how "January" translates to "Early March" to them.

Chinese new year this year is sometime in February.
Not the 1st of February.
Therefore, February = the last month of the old year.
Therefore, February = December, and March then would be January.

Unless with the next patch, they finally introduce the Colosseum, in which PCs will be able to fight each other in a Smashl-style arena... which would then be subsequently back to the brim in the first two weeks and promptly forgotten about in two months.

March was when the expansion update happened last year, despite any hopes this year it'd be earlier.

I honestly don't understand why anyone thought that there was going to be an update before Valentine's Day when they purposely did a small update to add in items for it.

if they'd add instanced stuff for ridill and d ring, that would pwn. or make it obtainable from a dungeon raid in the past.
making abj drops from T1-3 einherjar more frequent would be enough to make most players keep at it for those rewards, which would lead them to Odin anyway. such a simple idea.. yet it seems to have never crossed thru the developers minds

When TOAU was released we didn't get a version update until that July or August and it was released in March/April.

There's always long pause after an expansion to give the devlopers a break while players are busy with the massive content(or lacktherof) that was added in the expansion disk. Also gives them time to collect data on how the players are recieving the new jobs so they can add additions and tweaks and see what stats they should add to the AF.

This is probably the truth. Wouldn't mind kicking Sundi's ass about in Brawl now that I think about it.

Actually, when COP came out, there was an update a month after. It was basically a bunch of tweaks, but it was still something. Even if you don't count that, the update after came in early December.

Boo, guess I'm not gonna have any fun with new stuff before the honeymoon. Only thing I can hope is the update happens while we're gone, because when we come back we have a whole 'nother week off of work to play. :bagel:

The only way or reason SE would be saying early next year based off of the Chinese
New Year is if they were intending this update solely for the RMT usage and we all
