"Target practice" two words, fourteen letters
Best described with exclamation points instead of
A period, the wheel turns when you're steerin it
Slow down on the road, we hit a deer in it
That wasn't practice, more like an accident
Things become targets without askin for it

Draw and quartering is boring. What you do is cover her in honey let bees sting her to near death then toss her into a pond with gators in it. Oh and cut her hand off and stick a hook in the stub, for good mesaure to give her a chance against the gators. :D

We could also just hold her down underneath a fire escape and pull the ladder down onto her skull.

name the actor in both these movies!

Why does there even have to be a bible of blackness anyway, jesus.

AFK, listening to linkin park... for the rap.
    Do you not like DMX?

Chris Rock does not use original content, people have been saying the same shit he tries to pass off as his own for years.

Btw did any one catch boondocks last night the stinkmeter(sp?) possession one was on.

Oh and I don't need to watch TV to see how black people act. All I have to do is sit out front of my house and I'm sure I'll see at least 2+ black people at any given time during the day, Brooklyn, NY.

Depends on the section of brooklyn but I suppose. I live in sunset park so I see maybe 5 black people a week, if that.

East new york, nuff said lol. I'm like a 8 min drive from bed sty.

But whats wrong with DMX? he is the only rapper I know who pulls off telling a story about killing a dude in one song and the very next song says a prayer to God, with out looking like a total hypocrite. He plays off the dual nature of a person really well.

The dual nature of a human being isn't hypocritical in other artists in the slightest, it's just a matter of how articulate someone is. DMX's stuff, while catchy (well, as catchy as dog barks and WHAT and UH-HUH hooks can be) is no more profound than anything by other artists. Plenty of other artists are capable of rapping about multiple subjects on a single album and actually have a sense of coherence between the tracks. A perfect example of this IMO is Lupe's latest album.

Never said he was profound lol. If you listen to his first album theres some really nice shit on there. I just find X to be much more original then other rappers of his time. While there are other rappers who have played the "salvation seeker" role for some of their songs I find they they failed very hard, also there are not many rappers who have tried that any ways. DMX on the other hand was able to carry out the theme through all of his albums and succeed, usually other rappers might do 1 song, if that.

However I digress as I'm in no way an expert on the subject of rap, and people have gone on about the accolades of nas and others while the songs I have heard just didn't do much for me. In truth I listened to DMX and Eminem because their songs were good, to me , rather than for any message they might of had. Thats old Eminem before lolD12. Some of the best musicians in history had way bigger drug problems then DMX, not that he shouldn't get off of it.

But at the end of the day Just how poetic and profound can any of todays current music be?

Looking at the entire spectrum from Heavy metal to Gangster Rap, I would have to say people are grasping for that #1 song to top the charts rather then the deep and meaningful expression of a thought. That is not to say that occasionally some one will stumble across a song with actual profound undertones. However for the most part any of the successful artist of our time are simply playing to the mass' desires, which is their job and I'm not saying thats a bad thing, but they tend to lose out on the whole deep and meaningful aspect of music. I'm not talking about garage bands with 101827390474 meaningful songs which no one knows about btw.

Really there are plenty of rappers out right now who are interested in putting a positive worthwhile thought out to the public by expressing it through their music?

Perhaps you mis understand what I'm saying, I'm not saying there are no good rappers out there now, I'm saying there are few if any musical artist trying to put any worthwhile messages into their songs.

However if you have heard a recent song, one from this year, from an artist who has sold more then 100,000 records, which is lol but I'm not going to put 1million, Feal free to post the song name and the artist name, even post the lyrics. Then at least BG can decide if that song is really saying anything worthwhile. Also note songs about fucking bitches, dealing drugs, killing cops, committing suicide, girl/boy some one likes but can't get, hanging out after school, *insert emo /wrist song topic* etc are not messages; Unless said song makes a statement about the current situation of the world.

I'll start you off with some easy ones, though they are not from this year its something to gauge by.

Note: By this year what is meant is Jan 2007- Jan 2008

what you are asking for, you arent gonna see a lot of. record labels, radio stations, and studios arent gonna push a whole album of positive messages. they want songs for the bitches, songs to get the club jumping, and songs that can take over TRL. im sure there are tons of artists that push positives messages but those arent the ones going platinum or even gold half the time.

anyway in the last year Ludacris had that song with MJB that i couldnt go thirty seconds without hearing on the radio, even though it wasnt really a positive message it talked about problems in society usually ignored in music and it wasnt about guns, drugs, supermaning hoes etc. a few years back Nas had the song about children knowing they can be whatever they want to be. i hated both of those songs but at least they are more of what you are looking for.

do yourself a favor and limit your hip-hop intake to only Lupe Fiasco, a lot of his music is insightful and a breath of fresh air compared to garbage you hear on the radio. He's also about 40 steps higher than DMX. you wont be disappointed
