    Re: Online Dating Practical Joke

I wasn't really looking for music to listen to lol. I was simple trying to get a point across. But I think you guys get, how in a MTV/BET society the masses pick what "Good music" is even tho most of it is senseless drizzle with no more point other then to make money. Thus what society in general listens to reflects the state of that general society. It just so happens that today's society is more interested in shit like booty booty or super manning hoes more then say politically oriented music of other generations. If you compare this generations with the generations of the Vietnam War there are many overwhelming similarities. However that generation was responsible for more socially significant music in one year then this generation in the past 5 years. Even music about getting high had at least a shred of a political/ social statement. Listening to some of the music from now all you can think is how many times can some one repeat the same dumb chorus in 6 minutes or less. Then of course don't forget that in almost every remix you have some moron spewing garbage totally irrelevant to the original song, which might of actually been semi decent.
Thus let things come full circle. I hate everyone equally. Every new person I come across is a moron until they prove me wrong, but I usually never get proven wrong. Thus while the people here on BG might show a shred of intelligence, some even more then that, these forums only represent a minuscule portion of the entire society. Thus automatically white, black, tan, or yellow anyone with half a brain and a few worthwhile thoughts are automatically in the minority. Things just get more separated and disjointed as people compare philosophies and ideas, so why care about the old fashioned racial discriminations when you live in a society full of so many other varied forms of discriminations. Hell playing FFXI places you in an entirely new and shunned minority.

    Re: Online Dating Practical Joke

I kinda agree with most of that. Although, I think that alot of people who listen to shit on the radio, know that its mostly bullshit and just like to dance to it lol Since 90% of music that is produced involves finding something catchy that won't go away after you hear it a couple times.

I feel the same way about some people who go to clubs, they know the shit is dumb that gets played, they just want to have a good time and escape from their shitty jobs, etc. Of course the other half of people who go to clubs are just dumb bitches looking for trouble or someone to screw.

IMO regardless of what you listen to, if you can't respect the older musicians like what your parents listened to and etc., then you're just another clown who will listen to anything that's popular. Cause, IMHO that's what is wrong with today's problem on the radio, its getting further from what music used to be and now its purely fast-food

Edit: A good example of how music is getting more generic, Mariahs new single: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzvqMnzSps4
I'm gonna wait until the album still. Her last album had 2 or 3 of these types of weak club tracks too, so maybe she'll do the same again and have most of the album with real RnB tracks.

Internet beef is serious business. I can't help but crack a smile when I hear two grown men "battling" each other through songs that they write, edit, and then release. Strip 95% of these fgts of their supposed glocks and possies, and the average Joe could probably kick their ass. Amazing how in a day and age when real live fighters are actually getting the light of day they deserve, we have these spineless pussies having supposed "wars" amongst each other. High school posing all over again.

Anyway...I wish the OP would give us an update or something, I almost wish this would go down so we'd have something to talk about.

You're an idiot and obvioiusly never listened to anything remotely hip hop before. Battling is what keeps MC's on their toes and is a healthy way to keep things creative. MC battles used to be nothing but displaying who had the best lyrics, written or freestyled, it was never about killin motherfuckers over spilled milk.

But, you knew all of this right? You're more socially diverse than me and I'm merely preachin to the choir huh lol I guess not cause you thought that Em carries a glock or someshit, and Evidence would be the last person to start posing some gangsta shit. Why would he need to? Obviously in that song he destroyed Em's little fake ass. That pop star was easy prey, his lyrics are too elementary

Then at least BG can decide if that song is really saying anything worthwhile. Also note songs about fucking bitches, dealing drugs, killing cops, committing suicide, girl/boy some one likes but can't get, hanging out after school, *insert emo /wrist song topic* etc are not messages; Unless said song makes a statement about the current situation of the world.

I'll start you off with some easy ones, though they are not from this year its something to gauge by.

If you haven't listened to this CD you need to. I'd say it was the 2nd best Rap Album of the year. Cassidy raps about guns and violence as DMX does. However, he wrote this album about his time in prison, and he's near death car crash. It's a lot more spiritual and god praising than his other albums, much like DMX. He does all this while still maintaining his style and crown as the "Punch line King". Listen to this cd.

Also, if you can, download Andre 3000 new shit. His verse on the "walk it out" remix was really fucking good.

Well, we are still investigating but it seems that the thread was shot twelve times in the face with a high caliber handgun. We don't have a clear motive but we have several suspects.
    Carry on.

I'm not talking about real live battles where two guys actually have to spit off the top of their head. I actually respect that shit, and I'm actually really happy to listen to two guys on the subway just randomly start rapping at each other off the top of their head. It's refreshing when you have a train car group of people who can't make eye contact, and then you have these guys pouring their life story out to each other in rhymes. Makes everyone kinda loosen up.

I'm talking about all these rappers who have "beef" with another supposed rapper, and yet nothing ever happens, and they come out with songs months later that retaliates to what another rapper said. It's all for publicity...and for all these guys posing to be hardcore, they're not. They're the epitome of the lukewarm milk of the music industry. The above video clip of Em and Evidence falls under the latter.

Yes, so let's say that an entire genre of music is shitty because of the glamorous shitty pop stars who try to act hard.

That's like me listening to nickelback and saying rock sucks.

lol at being able to use rocl on a rocl post.

Edit: I've actually been listening to white stripes lately, dun really listen to there lyrics much, even those there pretty good, but damn if there is better music for tuning out the world I have not heard it. Can't touch the almost ever present drum beat when it comes to focusing your mind on nothing.

I never said the entire genre of music, I specifically stated it was the glamorous shitty pop stars that I disliked about the rap industry, and ONLY them.
