Public betrayal and humiliation is lasting harm. I don't know how you think a maladjusted teenager would handle it but the smart money's on 'not well, and not well for a long time.'

    Re: Online Dating Practical Joke

The point I'm trying to make is this could bring harm back on himself, not only the victim of the "joke". He wants the guy to move out of his parents for this girl, he's planning on using another girl to make the phone calls and all these pictures and shit... now while most of us wouldn't fall for it, some people would, and just because they would doesn't mean they deserve it. (Please see the girl that committed suicide we keep bringing up).

The point is, this is a dumbass idea, with potential to fuck more than one person's life up. Can't we fucking learn to stop shitting all over each other and try to make things better. I mean damn, my 8 year old nephew isn't this immature.

I don't think that guy is going to post anymore. Trying to argue the extreme consequences using shock-value doesn't work either, it only makes it harder. When you use examples of gun shootings that, for the majority, is an epidemic only in the USA, then you skipped the argument of "Darwinism" and failed to see the relation to the ultimate problem: gun control.

You want him to address the problem in his face, when you really just mean: go kick his ass. I go back to my original comment of "Is there a difference between physically and psycologically attacking someone?" other than one being easier to sue over. Physical attacks are just mentally harming as the fists themselves.

Humiliation and public betrayal? And now he's maladjusted? Granted anyone looking for love online has problems. I still stand by the fact that people who are inclined to shoot up places are so inclined, and a hair in their food will set them off.

My take on this is if he's biting on the online relationship, its for naked pics and webcam action. He's 18, probably still in HS where relationships last on average 2-3 months, so its no different. He sounds like a douchebag meathead hick who would most likely retaliate by rounding up his posse of football player teammates and tryin to jump the OP (or just scare him).

Its not like the OPs in HS and is gonna tell the world what he did. He's doing it for his own little laughs and those who he decides to share it with, not the whole HS class.

It might not be a great idea, a nice one, or even all the funny, but you get what you give, and if the guys been a dickhead before on a massive scale (gloating that you fucked with someones car, whatever else he may have done), maybe a little humility would fix things.

So you are saying school shootings are justified because of the larger problem of gun control and because they happen all the time? That makes them ok?

Seriously take this fucking arguement to the family of that girl that killed herself. THIS is how shit like that happens, but go ahead and condone it. What the fuck ever.

I don't think he gloated that he was fucking with someone's car.. it seems the OP THINKS that he MAY have done it, and that's why he brought it up.

It's a dumb idea, no matter how you try to twist it.

Please show me where I said school shootings are justified BECAUSE of gun control? Read my post again, it says the ultimate problem was gun control, NOT someone pulling the last fuckin Jenga block off the already shaky individual to begin with.

    Re: Online Dating Practical Joke

Megan, a 13-year-old who suffered from depression and attention deficit disorder, corresponded with Josh for more than a month before he abruptly ended their friendship, telling her he had heard she was cruel.
13 y.o. on myspace (shes not even allowed to register on myspace at 13), had a history of depression, and probably other things wrong in her life, yet SHE ended it over a FRIENDSHIP (with some japes/etc). Whos to say she wouldn't have done the same when her RL bf broke up with her at the age of 16?

Suicidal people need to maintain their regimen, and "oh I feel great, my depression is gone, no more meds" leads to these cases. Only thing I can relate to those people being held responsible is if they convinced her to cease taking her medication if she even was taking it.

So it's ok to pull the last jenga block off a shaky individual for no apparent reason?? Hey don't worry about it, it's gun controls fault or they were already fucked up. What the hell is wrong with you people?

Why is it so hard to believe the problem with a mentally unstable individual is on those directly supporting him/her? Parents, peers, councilors, docs, etc. The people who should be doing their damn jobs.

Edit: On a lighter note: Have you ever played Jenga? You can't tell if its going to be the last block until you pull it!

Yeah let's just keep the cycle of personal reprisal going until it goes too far and then say 'oops maybe I should not have done that' at someone's funeral.

Yup there's no such thing as the police or lawyers or civilized ways of dealing with our problems, all we ever have to do is keep fucking with other people.

Yup your argument is full of shit.

You are either just arguing to be arguing or you aren't listening to what the hell I'm saying. So what if it's the family's/doctor's responsibility to take care of her, or if our gun control is the ultimate problem, all that shit is besides the point.

It's never ok to go messing with people's emotions like this. I dont care if they allready have issues or not. You wouldn't want this shit done to you, (yeah yeah you're too smart to fall for it), so why do it to someone else. There is potential for serious consequences here, and it's already been proven. People dont fucking think before acting.

Look. Would you rather hear about more school shootings and suicides on news only to find the background story was that the person was neglected by parents and picked on by assholes who thought he was a douche and wouldn't give him a break, or would you rather hear about people getting into fistfights over stupid shit like who had more gil in FFXI?

Darwinism can suck a dick - you don't defend treating people like shit because you don't like them by hiding behind natural selection.
You quote me using Sigmund Freud's name like its a bad thing. I feel honored.

My mom taught me that two wrongs don't make a right. If someone shoots a school up because he can't handle ridicule if he provoked it, then obviously his peers/parents/councilors should have noticed this a long time ago. The news fails to diagnose the real problems of school shootings, instead its easier to blame: peer pressure, videogames/music/movies, or other outside influences. Rather, they should be covering the real problems like: bad parents, gun control, inept school staff, etc.

I bet students feel much safer now that our schools are locked-down by nanny-laws and unnecessary security measures.
And my mother taught me to never do things to other people that you wouldn't want done to you. Who the fuck cares what your mother taught you? And seriously, wisen up to sarcasm. Shit.

Gun control is not the problem when it comes to school shootings. It's such a small part of the problem. Teachers don't give a shit. Parents don't give a shit. Friends don't give a shit. Since everyone is all about not hurting other people's feelings they've taken away normal aggression in students like being picked last for kickball or always being pegged in dodgeball. Video Games are probably even more responsible for the increased violence as well as dietary habits. Thank the stupid shitty parents for that. But gun control? Come on. You can do better than that.

Students don't feel safe at all. Not when someone angsts over a game because his parents raised him on games and didn't teach him anything about real life. In real life, people play stupid pranks like this. In real life, people do stupid shit to each other and themselves. But you know what, when somebody doesn't know any better, that doesn't give you or anyone else the right to take advantage of it.

Life's a bitch sometimes. Not everyone is a carebear walking around respecting emotions like you may daydream about.

Our priorities are totally fucked up. I'm not going to repeat myself about the true causes of why people are ending life over e-relationships and harsh society. Take a look at the concentrated cases of suicide. Take a look at the concentrated cases of gun violence. You will see why these countries have these epidemics in their society.

Edit: Where am I saying gun control is the only cause? Its the ULTIMATE cause. Its the last piece in the puzzle. An easy fix to gun violence. I can't spell it out anymore.

So basicaly, the arguments for doing this all chuck up to blaming the target's parents, friends and blaming gun control instead of the OP and saying that because this happends all the time, it's ok for it to happen here.

    Fantastic.

Yea, lets stop daydreaming and simply accept the fact that any government is going to torture people no matter how much the public complains, and they will most likely do it in secret.

You're ignorant, stop trying to put shit together that doesn't even relate. Government control has shit to do with anything on this thread. Keep finding ways to put words into my mouth.

Why don't you share some more of your philosophy on "human nature."

I'm just pointing out the fact that your ideas have no consistency. Which of course, doesn't take away from your main point in this thread, and merely serves as a tool for me to agitate you. That is, if you even had a point in this thread.

Ok, you are obviously just trolling at this point. God forbid I wish people would treat each other with some respect.

Easy fix to gun violence lol... ok... this discussion has allready been had on these boards. So we make guns illegal like drugs and the side effects just go poof and go away? Hmmm, gee we should have thought of that.

Your posts really dont make a lot of sense. Basically you are saying just shit all over people because it happens all the time, and the people doing the shitting aren't the real cause of the problem, so it's all gravy baby?
