Nice, I'll just be waiting til Opeth headlines this Fall.
I love DT and BTBAM, but I just wanna see Opeth with a full set.

ARRRRRRRRRRRGH YESSSSSSSSSS COMING TO SEATTLE~
FUCK YOU WOW MAY 5TH AND IT'S THE GODDAMN 13TH I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL SOMEONE!
Saw this tonight, thoughts:
Three: Awesome band, I hadn't heard much of their stuff, but Joey Eppard is one -hell- of a fingerpicker. Very entertaining, but they only played for 30 mins
Between the Buried and Me: They only played Ants of the Sky and White Walls. I love the shit out of those songs, but I was kind of sad they didn't play Selkies, Alaska or Mordecai. Ah well, they were still amazing.
Opeth: Great performance. I was a little skeptical because of their lineup change, but Frederik and Martin (Axenrot, not Lopez, lol) stepped up and played a pretty damn good show. Ended the show with The Drapery Falls. They didn't play Deliverance, but I think that pissed my friend off more than it did me.
Setlist (if I can remember right)-
Master's Apprentices
Baying of the Hounds
In My Time of Need
Heir Apparent
Wreath
The Drapery Falls
...Pretty sure that was it, still a solid hour + of play.
DT: God, I love watching these guys play. I find it amazing they are still having such a blast playing in front of crowds. I thought their set could've been a little bit more rounded, (there was nothing from falling into infinity or octavarium that got played,) but it was a pretty solid set.
Setlist:
In the Presence of Enemies pt. 1
Beyond This Life
Misunderstood
Erotomania
Voices
Forsaken
As I Am
The Ministry of Lost Souls
Blah, blah, you know we're doing an encore, good night!
THIS THING- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfAz35yhn7U
Encore- Metropolis pt I with Petrucci/Rudess jam session, (with Rudess playing a fucking keytar,) leading into Learning to Live and A Change of Seasons (The Crimson Sunset.)
I don't think I forgot anything, but I'm also exhausted. Fun concert, awesome music.
oh tight, i missed it by 2 days >.>
Not that its sold out or anything, but Seditedi or anyone else want to buy a ticket for the Thursday night show in NYC? I've got a friend who can't get off work to go.
Two days til it's here in boston!
I'm a huge DT fan, but Opeth completely stole the show. DT only had a few amazing standout songs, whereas Opeth's entire performance rocked the FUCK out of the show. At least at the Chicago show, Opeth destroyed DT.
Never even heard of Three before, they are fucking awesome. Was checking out some live clips on youtube.... kind of mad at myself that I didn't know about this a week agocould of gone to the Chicago show
Ha I'd buy it but I gotta see if I can get off work to go + don't have anyone to go with! lolOriginally Posted by Penthesilea

I'm a guy! lol I'll find out today if I can get off work.
You just planning on taking the train up to NYC?
Awwww shucks. Yeah, I knew that, heh. I work Thursday, but I'm gonna go in early mon-wed and friday so I can take off earlier to beat the traffic. I'm driving unfortunately, just not sure if I'm gonna go home first or straight from work.

I thought that was fucking hilarious.
Like I said in the earlier post, DT's set could've been a lot better. The other thing is that I wish Petrucci would stop wearing those ugly vinyl shiny shirts or whatever the hell they are. They make him look gay as hell, haha
Anyway, Opeth was really good, and I'm excited for Watershed. Heir Apparent is an amazing song.
