It might/should be on bgwiki. I think its just mab/mdb converted to a multiplier. Both values start at "100", so if a monster has +50mab, and you have 30mdb, the damage will be 150/130 of normal. I could be wrong, but checking wiki is a good start if you don't get any definite answer from the forums.
No, you're pretty much right. The only thing I would mention is that the way you described it is using a convention preferred on JP sites, which can occasionally cause confusion. For instance what you described, I would say is 1.5MAB/1.3MDB, which of course is the same thing, but has caused misunderstanding in the past where an NA writes 30 MDB, and a JP writes 130MDB (which an NA would interpret as being 2.3 MDB).Originally Posted by Wottles
