I think the cheapies they come with are like 15$~, the 40$ are those in-ear gel ones (I think anyway)
The quality of the IPOD earbuds aren't even that good in my opinion. Not with the music I listen to anyway.
I say that's what you get for being one of those annoying fucktards that have to wear their headphones everywhere they go.
does the music you listen to ejaculate gold into your ears with special earbuds?Originally Posted by AoE

lol why didn't you just take your earbuds out before you went to pee?
It ejaculates my opinion of good music into my ear which is worth more than gold (Well maybe not so much anymore with the way the economy's going). The ones that ejaculate gold are in some obscure African country where most of us'll never go just because it's Africa.Originally Posted by Remy0

I don't know what its like where you are, but in the UK if your official ipod earphones go funny, you can apply for a free brand new pair from Apple themselves. Done it myself a few year back.
Might be worth registering your Ipod on their website and filing a malfunction. Can't hurt can it!
Just don't tell them they fell in piss...
Same here. I got a new pair of iPod earbuds, and all I had to do was return my broken old ones.
Apple is really good in their customer services.
Quit being cheap and get these

Fucking awesome headphones
Its like surround sound for only you, go watch black hawk down on them and you will want to marry them.(Helicopters sound particularly awesome on these)
They may be a bit pricey but they're the last pair you will ever need
I got a pair for xmas and was like.. yay. Yhen I saw the looked up the price and tried them out and was like YAY!
Good stereophones are always "Yay". Audiophile audiogasm!

Wait wait wait... let me get this straight. Your willing to drop $40.00 for some "trendy" earbuds from Apple when you can get a much higher quality pair for significantly less? Apple's business plan must be making them a fortune.Originally Posted by Rafike

I wouldn't be worried about that reaction in this situation (Bleach + Ammonium) but it can be deadly in small quantities... That being said, the quantities here are still pretty small. More than once I've gone to take a piss as a kid when my mom had just cleaned the toilet bowl with bleach (and hadn't flushed it yet) and you see the bubbling / hear the fizzing / smell the smell that makes your nose burn, and you can pretty much finish up, flush, go on about your daily business and be fine... But if you were to hang around in a closed space like that, you could fuck up your lungs / your life. There's actually a book out there (A Man Named Dave, I believe) where the guy tells about his child abuse from his mother, and that was one of her tortures; she'd mix ammonia / bleach in the toilet bowl and lock him in the bathroom. Very not cool
For the most part, you can drench most anything in water and then flush it with alcohol and be safe, assuming it doesn't have power to it. The water will clean, the alcohol will wash the water off and alcohol evaporates pretty damn quick, leaving it clean and dry. People freak out when you mention dipping expensive electronics in water, but so long as its not plugged in / there's no capacitors etc inside that still provide power, you're good to go. Power can't jump circuits and screw stuff up if there's no power to it. This is your #1 option!Shuemue wrote:
tbh I'd dip them in bleach then leave them to dry for a coupla days.
peroxide or alcohol, bleach may have adverse effects.
Elphaba, quite the captain negative aren't ya?
My point is, if hes at a loss anyway, why not give it a go? I didn't have to send mine back. I reported the fault, they said ok whatever and posted me a new pair. So no, he won't get charged for anything. Unless your nearest Apple repair center is full of jerks.
Give it a go m8. Free earphones are good!
a lot can happen in a day?
Like breaking it. Most warranties don't cover 'being a dumbass and breaking yer shit'
I guess the screen can't break after you load songs onto it. Only before, right?Originally Posted by elphaba
