    Yeah, Troubadour lasts 1 minute.
Either way I don't think you will be getting it 100% of the time, but close enough.

    PLD/NIN, WHM/BLM, RDM/WHM, BRD/BLM, BLM/WHMx2

Safe, effective, but slow-going. Optionally you can say screw the Black Mages and take BLU/THFx2 and that will make this fight go a lot faster. You don't need to stun GoH at all with either setup. There have been a few instances where we've tagged Cerberus from another wiping linkshell and just eaten GoH due to lack of stunners at the camp. It doesn't even phase a Paladin that knows what they're doing. The only hitch is as was stated above; you don't want to try this without that Bard having maxxed Troubadour merits. There is still gonna be that dead area where there's no elegy so rely on your WHM and two BLMs to use their Elemental Seal for casting a potent Slow if the Red Mage fails to land Slow II, which can occur for no good reason sometimes, while the Bard continues to spam between their elegy songs.

The only other catch I guess is that your Paladin has to be able to keep hate very high or you must have those Blue Mages spread out their CBs a bit to manage their hate. The BLU/THFx2 was is my personal favorite. They really crush Cerberus and can rip off its Stoneskin in no time flat.

I've been thinking a little more about this lately. Although it sucks on my server since it's still rather heavily camped.

But, question, would a fully merited/geared Gjalla BRD still have problems landing Elegy without ES? I don't even have a clue how hard it is to land spells on him, it's been too long. Although I do remember landing ninjutsu crap on him rather often.

The Ghorn BRDs in our LS still have some issues landing it reliably. Resists quite a bit but if you spam it it'll land often enough.

    Re: Cerberus....low man set ups

I have access to a Gjalla BRD with near ideal merits/gear. Land rate on Cerb is still below 20% using the acc down from ninjutsu/AM2. We were kind of hoping that reaching 550+ skill would allow for easier landing rates, but it doesn't end up panning out. Khim is slightly easier to land, but nothing that is reliable.

    Re: Cerberus....low man set ups

I only fought Cerberus once and it was with 8 people. I was /SAM, with merits and meat I couldn't do more than 50 damage per swing on him and my WS were doing a pitiful 200-300 with like +74 STR. Does Cerb have crazy high defense or am I insane?
Once we broke through his stoneskin he'd just throw it up 2 seconds later so it was a slow fight.

    I'd bring:

    PLD/NIN
    DRK/NIN
    BRD/BLM
    BLM/WHM
    WHM/BLM
    RDM/DRK

If you want to bring a few extra, make them BLU, BLM, or SMN.

I'll forgoe any bullshit sarcasm because I'm ignorant and it would likely backfire, but even wearing full DD gear while tanking wouldn't it take like four hours wiht 2 NIN for your only DD?

2 NIN/DRKs as your only DD actually works surprisingly well. Probably best to double BRD if you want to do this for Attack Song. If you use Souleater, you can do this in about 60-80 minutes if you really have no other DD source. Not too fast but it's not that slow either.

We used to use this idea way back in the day but I can tell you it varies widely depending on the gear and buffs of the NIN, as well as your willingness to use Souleater. I've seen other LSs try the same deal and it can indeed take 3+ hours.

With food and double etude it's still a crap shoot. Maybe 50% between both elegys. It's really a lot easier to just sub BLM, get your 7 minutes of elegy, and spam for the next 8. Cerb is pretty dangerous with no Slow / Elegy, especially if you are relying on WHM ES Slow between RDM Slow II (if meritted).

    Re: Cerberus....low man set ups

Yeah... We just played with it yesterday, although it wasn't really a low-manned attempt.

We had about 11 people, and the fully decked/merited BRD with arguably the best debuff gear setup possible (outside of like, the Shadow body abj. from Odin) landed about 20% of the time at most.

Was fun though! We haven't fought it in like half a year now due to how badly monopolized he is and how sick of dealing with it most of the LS members are. Solo tanking as NIN/DRK so much fun though.

Throw some DD PLDs on that shit with something that can easily knock off Magma Hoplon and you got a quick and easy Cerb.

2 PLD DD, 2 BRD/BLM, WHM, RDM, Job that can take off Magma Hoplon, and 1-2 BLMs would be my team on Cerb.

    Re: Cerberus....low man set ups

Cerberus appears to gain physical resistance the lower his HP gets. I remember doing about 500-650 Skewers early on, only to go down to about 350 if I was lucky below 30%. That was with Coeurl subs and /SAM with Minuet4.

It can easily be low manned, but I'm not sure if the amount of time required is pretty accurate. But like I said, he's pretty weak early on. Just hope he doesn't spam Magma Hoplon all the time.

And if this is your first time fighting, stay outside 19.8 (20 to be safe) distance from cerberus. Have tanks tank it at an angle so you can still cure them etc. Keeps you are of Paralyze range and GoH range.
