As far as Kujata goes, for the person who asked for an update from our server. We (Demo) burned our last JoL, rather reluctantly, afraid that this video would come out soon, and sure enough... We fully intend to fight AV, as we have even without the video, but now we have a reference guide, and loss of EXP is of no consequence to us. Translation: A million and five shells will try and possibly kill AV before Demo tries to, but I'm sure you'll hear from us when we do.

No insight to add on AV really, but I feel the need to comment on one thing.

I've seen several mentions of SE having more ppl than one alliance, and also several mentions of no aerns.

Seems reasonable enough to me that the extra people shown in the end scene, were there killing off the aerns as they popped. IDK just a thought.

Sorry for not dredging through 12 pages of topic, and if this has already been examined then just ignore me.

What if the same 2hrs as AV being used is just coincidence? Some of the 2hrs fired off incidentally have 2 hour JA icon elements that trump AV's at the time.

Like AV would use Chainspell (lightning i believe), and then a player would use invincible (earth icon?) Earth trumps lightning. Could also be something like needing a 2hour JA of the opposing element AND opposing damage type (magic vs melee) to counter it.

Checked it out and saw no Ice based 2 hour. The majority are light based and the only dark one was Blood Weapon.

If you read my question to the end, I'm wondering about the dev drg's 2h of course ... why the fuck would he use call wyvern and not spirit surge since you don't need a matching abilitie to stop AV's 2h (look at hundred fists example)?

Certainly interesting concepts; I know my shell has a bunch of JoL pop sets but we're relatively small; testing on AV will be more reliable from larger shells as there are more people available, etc.

What I want to know is how this coding of 2hring after/when he does somehow caused our initial finds of locking him up with wyvern spawns; is it possible that there was just some proper combination (and why it was always so random from fight to fight and shell to shell with how many sets of wyverns) of a BLM using Manafont because he was low on MP after the Call Wyvern to kill them that somehow locked it up? And because that wasn't exactly correct is why they altered that in some manner... because we would have all relied on that and not found actual reasons..?

My personal belief is that the 2hrs probably with an X >> X correlation, something like Chainspell + Soulvoice stops Benediction seems like such an illogical puzzle (and most puzzles, even those that are supposed to be hard to solve, have a some sort of logical thread).

I'm also throwing my hat in the "match 2 hour to lock that ability" ring. Having it reset your 2 hour is a pretty ridiculous idea when you consider it would be altering basic game mechanics. Maybe if this fight took place in a special BC they would screw with game mechanics that way, but not as things stand. I think you need a tanking party that can hold him for a long time (And Koenig/Earth Staff PLD makes plenty of sense to avoid catastrophe) while you cycle through the 2 hours you need to lock. Time to go unlock COR, I'm afraid.

No, no, and not a chance. Too many people have dropped party to pull AV towards the entrance to sea and have been bombarded with all of the 2hrs possible including the 2hrs that that job can use.

maybe you can only lock a 2hr when no aerns are up? aerns of the same class/weapon type? idk which aerns pop right there tbh... this also does tie in with the glitched version having 2 hours locked i'm 100% sure.

players 2 hring has to do something, or it wouldn't be so prominent in the video.

The no aerns thing was tested already and proved to be false. IIRC, the 3 aern there jump between 2 jobs each and players tried to hold a certain job "down" and that didn't do anything.

If the 2hring thing has anything to do with anything then it looks like a backwards working of the job list. Since AV does CS > mana and on the job list is BLM > RDM and he does call wyvern > mijin and on the job list is NIN > DRG. Maybe that'd be something.

i don't remember ever seeing anyone busting a corresponding 2 hour at the same time as AV with the aerns down, did i miss that? it's a thought.
