I never claimed it was the secret, yet the question remains unanswered. A simple "no" will suffice and I will move on.

We won't, no, but I'm saying it's not the key to defeating it. Sure, any inew items and things will help - that is obvious, but they should by no means be necessary.

edit: No, I don't think anyone knows what Tincture does yet. But look up what the word really means, i doubt it is anything amazing.

I don't see a problem. Iws is obviously the token guy who nukes JoL with the element 10 people just said not to nuke with/CFHs on an add and thus the main NM when 10 people just said "DONT CFH!!11"/who asks "What/where/when/how" when 10 people already said the answer 2 seconds before. I thought every group had one person like that at some point or other :D

Here's what I can gather so far after watching just the NA video and wading through 14+ pages of mental anguish & masturbation..

1) The video is not in any specific time order because it is multiple fights spliced together. The idea that you need to fight this mob for 2+ hours to be successful just doesn't make sense from what SE has said previously.

2) There is a major clue in each and every segment of the video:

- Killing a wtfload of Ru'Phuabos is the clue in the first segment. It's not completely clear that they must be killed by the same alliance fighting JoL or not, so for now let's assume that they don't. SE has already stated that killing the phuabos is tied to AV's regen

- Second segment's already been figured out. AV is weak to the element that matches the current Vana day.

- The third segment is in three parts and is clearly the most important. Each time AV uses a 2hr ability, it's immediately followed by members of the alliance throwing out 2HRs in response. In the first part though, AV uses Soul Voice, but one of the BRDs pops his late and right after AV then casts a Virelai. Does this mean you can lock its 2HRs by having your alliance members blow off all matching 2HRs? Might it be a matter of using even or odd numbers of 2HRs? Does this mean you can lock AV from casting Meteor? Could it be all of these possibilities?

- The Fourth segment shows AV with bracelets, probably signifying that it is locked down, followed by it being defeated. This one seems like it's just to show AV being defeated.

All of these ideas need testing of course.. it'll take some planning and hard work from all of us to figure this out for certain.

Q: Do you mean the other Jailers? Do they need to be popped and killed during the Absolute Virtue Fight?

A: You can’t do a thing about that, if your skilled you might be able to avoid* it, but it will be extremely hard.

Looking at how often AV used 2hrs in the video, and how many he used in a row, it seems more linked to how many 2hrs AV can use in a row, instead of which ones AV can use. Making it survivable to (now with video tip) slowly lock AV. At least that's how i read it.

I think you're a little off.

Killing the mobs (not just phuabos!) around him is indeed the hint in the first segment. Not because of regen, but because they are tied to his 2 hours (somehow).

Nuking with the corresponding day's element is not because he is weak to it, but because it reduces his regen ability.
