It didn't chainspell. It used Manafont and there wasn't a BLM in alliance. Trying to reset some 2 hrs... :/

I saw hundred fists, and Manafront atleast not sure what else was used.

I'm thinking as long as Manafont, Mijin Gakure or Benediction aren't first in the order of 2HR's (Which they shouldn't be), you can rise up and overcome. But so far so good, just need to make sure you have the right jobs to use 2HR after he busts his first one out.

If you think about it, AV only uses call wyvern and not spirit surge. This basically gives DRG 2 options to counter AV's 2hrs. Whether this is a response on SE's part about the "loldrg" mentality that went on for so long "you guys wanna laugh at one of our jobs? well here ya go, DRG is now one of the most beneficial jobs to have for the strongest mob in the game!" is yet to be seen.

Pretty sure he was being severely sarcastic. To answer your question, you cannot block when incapacitated (slept, stunned, petrified, or terrored).

ty for clarification, was curious. that may have been SE's reasoning behind their plds' gear choices. what i commented to my girlfriend after watching the video this morning however, was that i was taken by the fact that given the dev team's ability to have any gear they wanted, why their rdms who were tanking weren't tanking in dalmaticas. i'd have to think that the magic def. bonus and refresh would outweigh the fast cast from af2 body, especially in a situation where i've got to think their haste timers are capped. 50 hp isn't going to be as detrimental to one's survival as any spell that said 5% mdb would reduce by more than 50 hp, yknow?

if they(demo) keep at it tho, at least from the looks of the screenshots, its iceday now, so something's matching up with the video >.>

When we held AV up 2 weeks ago we let him deaggro and go back to his exit spot, and a BLM ran up and cast Burst 2 on him and he immediately Benedictioned from 99% so I'm not so sure this linked 2hr sets theory holds much water.

Exactly I was stating that and asking if they just went in without even thinking about anything they saw in the video and maybe just assumed it was weaker all of a sudden. I wouldnt think anyone would try and fight at the time without atleast blms and rdms in the ally to counter act meteor rapage

Before everyone else gets to ya, I'll tell ya nicely that AV is a mob, there are no drg mobs in this game that use spirit surge, they only use call wyvern as their 2hr
