Anyways, unlike Demo, SE did kite the Wynavs away. I know you were complaining about Call Wyvern, but because AV is naturally a DRG, it could just be different altogether.

I still don't think anyone has tried the "AV uses 2hr's of whatever 2hr's everyone has up" theory. From the video it seems to have merit for it to be at least looked into.
-AV uses a random 2hr.
-Everyone who has one up proceeds to use their own to prevent further use.

From the times/days we DO get to see in the video, 2 hours did indeed elapse before everyone went apeshit with 2hr's again, including AV.

Using the same 2hr can be ruled out to have no effect since that's been proven wrong.

This simply needs a LOT more testing. Currently there is no proven relationship established between the 2hours used by the players and av.

It's interesting SE put in RDM tanks (or at least trying to), but I'm not sure whether I'm more surprised by that or what they geared the PLDs in if it's "supposed" to be RDMs tanking.

Martinius gave a very logical answer to the whole M. Body/Earth Staff setup several pages back, saying that because of AV's AoE stun move constantly going off, and the fact that a shield can't block while stunned, at that point you'd just want to mitigate as much damage as possible.

Using the same 2hour might still be a viable theory, it might be part of a big picture, there is obviously more then one step to this, so maybe using the matching 2hour is the first step, then following up with other 2hours.

Definitely a viable answer. Why not add more pain, you have to fight him 2 Hour-less.

It used Perfect Dodge when there was no thf in the alliance, around the alliance and as far as we can tell not even in the zone. So same using the same 2hr has absolutely nothing to do with anything in regards to AV's 2hr

I'm not saying the SAME 2hr up, I'm saying anyone who has any 2hr up AT ALL in the alliance allows him to use ANY 2hr.

He's just saying that to lock AV's 2 hours ( every single abilities ),everyone in the alliance must use their 2 hour . Maybe before popping him or during the fight.

Yeah, 'cause you know, tanks of different jobs can't share hate and work together. Plus, RDM tanks are extremely uncommon.

I think you were taking me a tad too seriously. However, if you can honestly tell me that they were smart enough to consider 2 RDM and 2 PLD to share tanking duties, while putting in a drg/nin and a domaru SAM... ok I don't know. That's just a funny thought. Just a contradiction of styles. Either they were being accidentally stupid, or accidentally smart, or some of both. In either case, it's not all fail for setup, nor is it incredibly intelligent either.



Matching 2hr-for-2hr still seems to be the top idea for now--though that's probably because it hasn't been debunked yet. I haven't seen anything in the threads that shows any matched 2hrs in screenshots yet, so this is still out there. People seem confused by this... Examples: in the Demo thread, AV uses a first 2hr, and the entire alliance spams their 2hrs. Nothing happens and they wipe in 2 minutes. Or, AV uses a 2hr and 'some' people use 2hr, but none of the jobs match up. Nothing happens and they wipe in 2 minutes.

No, it certainly has not.

So far what has been proven is very little.

Using random 2hrs didn't seem to work.

Using 2hrs besides the ones he used didn't seem to have any noticeable effect.

For some reason on the 3rd try, he didn't Bene, Mana, or Mijin.

We don't have hard facts, you cannot say "this is wrong" or "this is right" yet.
