I just want to say that video was absolute shit for taking so fucking long to make and release. That and 90% of the posts in this and every other thread are fucking moronic.

You can see 2 things.

Nuking with Day of the Week Elements seem to get resisted less.
Using your 2hrs after AV uses one does something or SE is retarded.

They don't actually show you enough footage after the 2hr spammage to tell you much of anything. You don't see if AV uses another 2hr moments after they cut it. It's nice they gave us some small hints but it's a horrible video.

I'm also amazed at how many people can't tell the "Melee RDMs" are just doing a shitty job of tanking.

When we were able to verify that nuking with the same element of the day did in fact effect its regen/resist, I'd still have to say the video is pretty accurate considering we're what, one of three linkshells who have been able to do anything with it yet.

One thing i noticed after watching the video a 100th time looking at different shit.. At around ~3:15 in on the link for the hd video posted on a page or two ago, most of the people are standing away, but some are standing close.. 1 I wanted to pay attention to was the blm.. They have all the blms away, but 1 standing by AV.. Now.. I know this is SE, and they are probably just retarded.. but.. why?

OK, well.. watching video while typing... apparently that blm, and the whm next to him are the ones who didn't get hit by the aoe (which I find strange but that's been discussed).. but after noticing that.. AV used chainspell, they hit some 2 hours.. av casted aeroga IV.. and a rdm casted dispel.. yeah.. I know.. I get the rdm tanking thing, get over it.. but what I noticed was, as soon as the rdm casted dispel 2 melee started running up, the video lasted like 2-3 more sec before cutting, but in that time it didn't cast anymore.. the part that interests me is why they ran up immediately after the aeroga iv/dispel.. as if they knew it was safe now or something..

Ok.. so a BLM and a WHM are standing under av, apparently not in party or taking damage.. do you think having those 2 people who haven't 'hurt' av / on his hate table and they happen to be whm and blm seems weird? not to get all story / gay on you but.. those 2 are "innocent" jobs that are present and not disturbing him... I also noticed the blm appears to be in full af2.. which probably means nothing but im trying to not to rule shit out at this point.

So then the implication is that 2hr after Chainspell could prevent more than one Aeroga 4? Decent idea, maybe each 2hr has to be effective once before lock.

OK, ive watched the french, german, and english copies, each has an additional section of the videos the other doesnt. After watching them all, 2hrs have no effect on any of AV's 2hrs. The timeframes that he uses them match up with the downtime between the durations of the 2hr's.

The thing that the english one doesn't show, is the rdm/thf pulling 1 single wyvan away from AV. Few questions from that...why was there only 1 that time, but 3 wynavs the other time he pulled them away. Is he holding all 3?? are they killing 1 and holding 2, who knows.

I truly believe the secret lies in the wynavs and/or the aerns around him, because using 2hr's had clearly no effect on anything AV did. You can see this by piecing together time game time 2hr's that SE has placed scrambled around in the diff videos. He would still use them one after another. I for one want to know how they expect us to normally handle hundred fists(he uses it in the french video).

Things we know:

- he will manafont while wynavs are dead, and aerns are alive near him.
- his benediction goes off and will heal aerns(hint maybe?)

Outside of those 2 things, the only other thing that is deadly, is his soul voice...i don't know how SE dealt with AV spamming maiden virelai...maybe he spams songs based on the day, i know during darksday(when apathy fought) he did maiden.

What are the aern jobs around AV again??

Also, i saw the dispel also, but thats the only time it had dispel used after a 2hr, just coincedence.

One thing (And yes I've read all the fkin pages) I've really noticed no one has mentioned, is that no one has suggested that perhaps it's not the 2HRs we're trying to lock by corresponding a 2HR back.

But maybe we're locking out other things (Insane Stats, resists to debuffs, spells being locked (I still think it gets done eventually as AV doesn't use spells in the last clip of the NA version.), or maybe even surpressing job traits.) example: Each BLM that uses Manafront after AV uses a 2HR reduces his insane INT stat and makes his spells do much less. The effect could be variable to each 2HR used to make him more reasonable to deal with.

Has this been tested or even considered? I know if that were the case, at least Medusa Javelin would be more tolerable, and his 2HRs overall wouldn't be -as- threatening. Maybe we're looking at locking the wrong thing.

You don't lock everything, I'll post what we intend to try tomorrow. In the video you see three instances of clearly separate fights where the 4 2hours that prove most deadly are spammed. Those being Benediction, Soul Voice, Chainspell and Manafont. Clearly these post the most threat and are the ones focused on. So they show the three clips of those 2hours being removed or blocked.

The theory is then, when you match with at least one person using the 2hour that AV uses it appears that NONE of the above four mentioned are used. It does however use other 2hours. With one of the actions made in the video of the dev team already verified by us, there is no reason to believe that this is also not true. We'll upload a video shortly of us attempting to fight it just shortly after burning every 2hour in the alliance but missing perfect dodge and nothing happening.

You lock these and deal with the rest and its not a hard fight, at least not with us taking it to 97% using tier 1-3 nukes.
