I like vanilla, and for 18+ hours all of FFXI endgame banded together and took AV by force, with every plausible and implausible method you could possibly think of, it was the scientific method at it's finest. The reason AV is undefeated is SE, not us. They implied bar-aero and homam heads could do what 4 Aegis Dring PLD's could not, the video is bullshit,

I'm surprised they ever came out with the video at all. I'm even more surprised they put so much effort into editing such a useless video.

Also, I think tempers are flying more than usual about this topic because, well, we were given hope and handed a smelly brown bag. Everyone is furiously stomping the bag and nothing good has come out of it yet.

They ninja-fixed AV, without so much as a message over a year ago, and suddenly he was unkillable, by any means.

They've now released a video, and within ONE DAY, the video was recreated to a fucking T, to no avail. Within a month or so SE will ninja fix AV, he will be killable, and then SE will go "Look, see? We were right" I don't know why people actually expect anything more than that, after the video they released couldn't even actually follow the basic rules of the game (aka unlimited 2hrs)

Almost forgot sunshine, rainbows, and fuzzy slippers have the ability to keep AV from blasting you into oblivion. I already posted my 2 cents about the method to actually survive through meteor to keep testing, instead of at 15 minute attempts each time, if people really want to go for it sure.

It's not killable, it can still benediction at 1% and laugh in your face, you really want to mess with AV and try to play Tom Hanks? Bring some Blue mages and some outside R3's.

i honestly disagree with the belief that EVERYTHING has been attempted. imo i have yet to see any linkshell have the patience to attempt everything thought of by the halfway intelligent player basis. i can't bring myself to believe that after wipe, after wipe, after wipe any linkshell will still continue to try. just because you don't know how to do it doesn't mean it's not possible. there's obviously something that was missed here. eventually i think a linkshell will happen upon that one little thing they're supposed to do to stop AV from ripping 20+ ass's apart, and all of a sudden people will go "OoHHHHHHHH, now i get it... well fuck me that was some stupid shit"

I'd swing in with my whip and use some makeshift 2hourlock bomb, with a 30 second closeup of me wiping my sweaty brow as I carefully place the bomb under AV's arse. Then the floor would crumble for no reason at all really and I'm make a hail mary jump to the other side of the gorge, barely grabbing hold at the other side.

my point exactly, they stopped after what most of the players thought of and stopped after that. i'm not staying continue to try all at once until everyone goes from capped exp to de-leveled but still. i don't have enough faith in most shells attempting this stuff to go much further than what's speculated.

also again im not reading through all 27 or w/e pages i missed, SE did us the pleasure of leaving out AV's manafont and meteor spams along with any of the pops nearby, but i will continue to point out that multiple players used their 2hrs twice with no apparent COR, and only in the NA version was any damage dealing spells used during the fight although they were basically one of each tier spell for the corresponding day. while during the rest of the video 4-5 blms' just sat while AV was being tanked(unbelievably well but meh). anyone want to come up with a speculation about that?
