This video was made post toau, one of the whms is using turban.

And right at the start you can see Goliard Legs... But more importantly, the Drg uses the old "Call Wyvern" 2hr...

They had to kill it without the use of Blu/Cor/Pup/Dnc/Sch, AV was released before these jobs and could be killed before these jobs, so using these jobs and the Drg 2hr patch would be cheating. Then again, Lightningsday>Iceday makes me cry at the thought of a 7hour fight...

Yeah, edited it already. Gonna go scan through the JP/F versions and see if anything jumps out.

If using HF made them fire 2hrs to Counter, perhaps there is a specific 2hr that was used to counter it.

I think its more simple than what people are thinking, im going to assume that ANYONE with any ENMITY on AV must have their two hours down(Wether it be activating before you have enmity, or after) and that alone would stop him from two houring and that they are just repeating the fight showing the use of two hours for emphasis. I mean come on... look at how simple Goblin Drink and JoL ended up being before people figured it out.

thought of that too and would make sense but the only problem was not everyone used their 2hrs. true there could be people in the alliance without hate i think but would seem rather unlikely.

I dont know AV so much so im not gonna talk like i have a clue but, he cant do meteor without manafont activated and around 70? What if AV does not use manafont pre 70sish, proceeding to manafont > metoer and screwing your alliance. Idk I just dont see how activating two hours AFTER AV uses his would lock anything.. Seems to complicated I think the soul purpose of people spamming two hours is just for emphasis

Just a quick thought, but when everyone fires off their 2hr even if it seems for no reason if in fact 2hrs are reset then wouldn't that mean a freebie use of a 2hr every time he uses it. I don't know about you but I wouldn't mind being able to spam 2hrs to ease the fight as well as possibly lock AV at the same time.

AV is said to spam Meteor when it hits 79%. I think, if this is true, it's probably just a scripted part of the fight. AV is capable of summoning 6 wynavs but you don't see more than 3 unless you get him down low. My guess is that it's like the other CoP bosses(Proto-Ultima and Proto-Omega). Events or changes to the AI occur at 79%(meteor rape), 59%(6 wynavs), 39%, and 19%.

Storywise in this game wouldent this represent your 2hr for each corresponding job?

Yea because the RDM that chainspelled after AV did stopped him from spamming 3x spells =X

Also, I call shenanigans someway: popumyonmapu uses Manafont during the first demonstrations on thundersday 6:52, then after the cut to 5:04 thundersday he uses it again. Hina does the same thing with Soul Voice.

You do see a Paladin dead & raising at one point in the video.

Want proof the video is recent? The gamma around the day circle is effed up and black, that didn't happen until the Sept. Update in 2007.

Plus Perfect Dodge isn't that big a deal.

Unless it turns out you need X 2hr to lock Y 2hr, and say Perfect Dodge locks Mijin Gakure or something, THEN yeah, you'd want a Thf for more than just TH whoring.

Shame that the JP and FR videos kill the nice neat little match up of X 2hr use > X 2hr use.

Regarding the SA, that was a Yokodama, yo. Got nerfed forever and a dick year ago, but yeah.

The person videoing is solo,
His Chatfilters see players casting on AV,
His Chatfilters see players casting on players
and they see abilities.

They don't, however see a single COR roll.

and for the people that have never see a mob reset 2hrs, Goblin's do it to players all the time...

You can clearly see 2 spells BACK to BACK after RDM had chainspelled and also there was no time for call wyvern to stop wyverns from being summoned

I'm going with the emphasis thing, I think in maybe the hundreds of times people have gotten their fucking cornholes inverted by AV someone would have mentioned that their 2 hour came back randomly during the mayhem.
