The AV Videos: READ THE -OP- AND THREAD BEFORE POSTING!

Someone mentioned in an earlier post that whilst holding AV they popped Invincible and AV proceeded to use Manafont. I do remember engaging AV with a Monk in party, the monk used 100fists and shorty after AV used charm, does AV generaly counter a 2 hour with one of its own ?

Can anyone provide any insight on this based upon previous experiece or would someone be willing to test it (If it isnt tested by the time i next see AV i will, but im honestly not expecting to see it soon)

This may not be relevant to locking anything but imo it would be an interesting piece of information.

If indeed AV does react based upon specific JA/WS/2Hour/Misc would it not be possible to eventualy determin which JA/WS/2hour/Misc triggers each specific 2 hour or possible 2hours, could you not then use the specific JA/WS/2hour/Misc to trigger AV into using something that shouldnt cause too much hastle like Invincible or PD every 5min or so possible stopping him from just using a random 2hour?.

An example being :

a)Using shield bash has the potential to trigger : Perfect Dodge / Hundred Fists / Manafont

PLD uses Shield Bash AV Counteracts with Perfect Dodge (as he did in the Demols video) obviously if it might trigger Manafont then you wont want to use it.

b)Bst uses charm and AV counteracts with Sam 2hour (someone previosly posted that a llow lvl bst was using charm to hold AV and every time it would use the same 2 hour)

Through enough testing it could be possible to form a list of counter moves for each specific JA/WS/2hour/Misc and then plan accordingly.


The videos provided by SE shows people using a 2hour after AV but none of them trigger a second 2hour this possible indicates that after AV uses Soul Voice (or something) XJob could use their JA/WS/2Hour without having a negative impact. Where as someone casting Blizzard IV on lightning day triggered a TP move and then annother person used thunder shots? afterwards caused AV to use Chainspell.

The above does not specificaly go into locking out 2hours but does cover the possibility of forcing him to use specific 2hours enabling you to use non negative abilities whilst reducing the possibility of AV using a nasty 2hour.

most likely due to there being a time lapse after he uses a 2 hour (pre-multi2hour phase), where he can't use another one until a certain period of time has passed

also, i remember reading someone's testing (RL AV fight), that Blood Weapon activated AV's invincible

it seems very likely that he's reactionary based on what's being done to him, but of course that's what the last 2-3 pages have been about. i buy into it, though

This post is mainly for the job roster, just to help out so you can watch the video and know who is playing what job. I kinda extended the post into an Essay just going into some detail and probably talking shit at some points, so just scroll down to the roster if you cant be bothered to read it all...

Well here's some info on the job roster in this video etc, don't know if it's been done yet...

Observations:

- Nukes to the corresponding day. Ice nukes are used occationally on Lighningsday, probably because its AV's weakness or because the day change wasn't realised by some BLM.
- BLM nuke with T1, T2, T3 and T4 magic. The RDM's never nuke at all.
- Always tank in Terra's Staff - Obviously to reduce damage taken.


00:00 Lightningsday: - Elmaulle Invicible, after Wing thrust - I think he does this because Ryl dies shortly before, so he can stay alive. Or its because he thinks that a 2H will go off?
06:50 Lightningsday: - AV uses Soul Voice.

I did start creating a Party roster, but a few members switched parties and it got very confusing so I dident bother.

Thoughts:

* I've bolded the time, and what day that AV uses his 2-hours because it looks like they are completely random times, and his 2Hrs do not activate at specific times.

There are 25 people in the video (shown from the team picture thing at the end of the video) and i've listed 25 people on my job roster, with 3 jobs unknown. This can probably be checked over by comparing my roster to the team pic at the end, I just cant be bothered.

When AV uses Soul Voice, 15/18 people use their 2-hour.
When AV uses Chainspell, 3/18 people use 2-hour.
And when he uses Call Wyvern, 7/18 people used their 2-hour.

Why would more people use their 2-hours on the less-threatening 2-hours that AV uses?

People in the alliance using 2-hour's must unlock something, because if this was just to survive, then BRD's would be instantly casting their songs after they 2-hour, RDM's would be spamming spells after chainspell. They dont do this, they simple use their 2-hour, and dont try to make use of it.

Either, a) Everyone in the alliance (not outside) 2-hour when AV does, and it recharges their 2-hours,
b) It's a F**king long fight, and the use of everyones 2-hours is purely to survive...
or c) Cirtain 2-hours are used to lock AV in some kind of way (this would require gay amounts of testing)

I'm not gonna waste my time looking into anything like weaponskill elements and stuff or go into more detail than this because I quit FFXI after christmas, and i could just sit here and waste days doing research.

Who has the screenshots of AV readying a 2hour, I'm asking for like a chat log screen too, not just readying the 2hour. The idea that it does both could very well be possible, and I'd like to compile a few more ideas before Demo pops our next AV.

Opacus theory + slow damage only by element of day in tiers, no melee, see how it goes, no on the cast damage spells of opposite day either (bio, etc)
