Did all the things the windower website suggested on how to make it work and it's still not working, just crashes as its about to load the game from POL >> FFXI. anyone else have any trouble with this or any info as to how to make it function? :\

are you using a backed up install of FFXI (i.e. copied from another harddrive, into the Vista Installation)?

yes I believe so, downloaded 4 files which I turned into an ISO and then installed onto my computer

sorry, i might be misunderstanding you but what i meant was..

are you using a previously installed version of FFXI, and just copying that installation from one harddrive or partition to a new one? perhaps you should reinstall FFXI scratch.. yeah it's a PITA but it's worth a shot, as i've had windower problems similar to this (not recently though), and a fresh install fixed whatever was causing the problem

I had the hardest time with this as well.. I couldn't find a graphics card driver that fit mine, and I was going crazy. Then I remembered someone mentioning Infrared. What I did was go into drivers details, into human interface devices and uninstalled the infrared info. It was the top option for me, and now I'm able to use 3.3 with all my preferred plugins.
