Anyone remember this one Anime where whenever the people used to kill the monsters they would turn into certain cards. Then when some mobs got a hold of them, they'd eat the cards and get the monsters characteristics. It had a Big Yellow Cat who used to cook food for them, this one chick who was looking for her father, and This one guy who fought with red armor and a spear. It was a really old anime and I just wanted to find out if anyone remembers it.

Oh and they found the girl when she was in danger and she got sent off into a little mobile machine that talked and would always take her to places.

3 seasons for the real version (70 eps), and nothing ever ate a card from what I heard.

It does sound a bit like clamp though... maybe check a list of stuff they've done that turned into anime?

Even though Tsubasa started like 5 years later.

A couple of my (fangirl) friends were pretty into Tsubasa for a while. One of them made a Syaoran costume for one of the anime cons the other year.
