Somebody else had posted something about maybe a THF hitting Flee and Accomplice right when Manafont goes off and run away. This might work if he casts Comet before Meteor, but I doubt he'd make it far enough if Meteor is the first spell he casts.

Nsx ,we did exactly that. When the Aerns unclaimed or lost hate, AV would often two hour. But we couldn't find anything solid because at other times, he would two hour anyways.
I lost about 12k xp on my pld, and about 7k on my smn.Originally Posted by Shiriokumo

So you would need say 3 rdms to hold 1 aern each to keep them red the whole time?
Or am I off on how it works? It seems risky to have them repopping if it instantly does a 2hr when they pop or go white.
edit - good info btw.
What I mean by this isn't to totally turn off 2hrs but if whatever can be done to lessen the amount of them he does, the better obviously
It seems like Graveyard Shift on Phoenix server had a theory about the Aern's deciding what 2hrs he can use. They were firm believers of this until the next time they fought AV and it all changed up. So unless the "readies" vs "uses" 2hrs are the correlation their I'm starting to doubt Aern's jobs have anything to do with his 2hrs. And besides the original hint was that his 2hrs were directly tied to the number of remaining monsters.
I was also thinking last night that the number 3 might be involved in some way. 3 Om'Aerns at the site, 3 JoL pets each summon, and 3 Wynavs until bracelet mode. But once again I can't begin to piece together anything from the video concerning the number 3 without making myself sound like a complete retard. And the way the video and new observations are coming I'm starting to question the translations of the SE Interviews.
Every time we tried this it was disaster. I am rather confused about that seeing as they were so far and yet at times AV would use two hours as soon as they lost hate or woke up, like clockwork, and yet AV also seemed to use the two hours of the mobs that were close to him....
One thing that was also very interesting.
Our first real test with two hours gave us our longest run without an extremelly damaging AV two hour. This combination was PLD and RDM after Invincible. It was followed by Soul Voice, Call Wyvren, Invincible, Soul Voice, Call Wyvren, Blood Weapon, Mighty Strikes and finally Manafont.
By the way, yes that would work. We had BRD, RDM and BLM keeping them.
I honestly believe the combination in which you use your two hours may be tied to which two hours he uses. I also don't think you have to use your two hour right as AV does, but that ordering them and using them in patterns is they key to changing with two hours AV rotates. But I have NO real hard facts about this and we didn't test it alot, and I'm probably going to regret throwing that theory out there before having tested it in the morn-late afternoon lol.
I think its clear from skinoz's screenshot that he does, wynavs hit alot faster tho.Originally Posted by Reality
I got about 45 minutes of the initial testing that was going on on Seraph in unfiltered chatlog. I've gone through some of it, figured I'd post it now. Rather than posting the entire 3 meg file (no screenshots, was a log dump basically), I've editted out a large amount. What I've done is looked for key points and then gone to the last melee swing by Absolute Virtue, then posted everything in between.

after manafont? that's what he did to us this morning
By the way. Seeing as we got no "Readies two hour" and we used only one accidental sentinel on the last "let's mpk ourselves" attempt, and the first "Whut don't use shield bash?" attempt, we can consider it a strong possibility that "Readies" two hours are reactionary two hours.
I noticed in SE's dev's video, they did not use WS at all for the duration of the fight until the very end for kill shot. The SAM did Meikyo Shisui midfight and he did not WS at all. can you guys think any reason for this?
There was a Screenshot in the last pages I think where he Manafont > Meteor.
Read the hueg thread, it was mentioned there... A lot....Originally Posted by SamanosukeShiva

not arguing abotu the screenshot you mentioned, just posting info
Why did Darkhearts remove their video? Did they kill it or got close and now trying to cover up the strategy? Does anyone have a mirror of this video? Thanks
Am I the only one that noticed in the video, as soon as the dust cloud appears for the 2 hour, melees disengage and rdm casts sleep? I haven't seen anyone mention it in any of the threads so far (though I haven't read any thread the whole way through).
This was probably the Dev team's way of dealing with the 2 hours. keep him asleep until his 2 hour wears off ^^
If you can figure out how to sleep AV, let us know.Originally Posted by Babekeke
