The fealty thing...while very informative...is not very useful at this state. In Manafont mode he only casts spells...

That means you have to have your mages run out of the way as he first uses it, pray to god his first spell isn't Meteor (We usually saw comet first) stay out for 30 seconds, while tanks eat possible multiple instant cast meteors and take "only" 500 or so damage each? Not to mention the range is about 30 (probably more) and is out of casting range completely. Um maybe if you have 70 or so people I guess and all your healers are paladins with fealty merited. Sorry I don't mean to be rude, but it isn't plausible.

It's plenty plausible, just needs coordination, if you can't main heal yourself through 500 damage bursts you suck at PLD.

Whats being done with aerns/wynavs?

Tried going straight from JOL>AV, -ga'd wynavs and killed when they popped. We were a little unprepared and ended up dying, sacing now.

It's 4 seconds max with buffs, and even in my full enmity / haste set I still have 1400 HP, I'm not too worried.

No offense but 4 seconds is a lot longer than immediate. Like I said, if there was actually anyone alive after the first meteor, his next action is probably going to be meteor, and the one after that until his 30 seconds are surpassed. But really, if you can do this, kudos because it'd be damn difficult.

Try having manafont used after every 2hr if you have the manpower see if it uses manafont afterward and just keep nuking element of the day see what happens for a bit the longer the fight lasts the more info will be gathered.

The reason they show the 2HR usage is to show us: "How to break the chains that binds him", and how he is the absolute virtue...Patience.

People that have fought AV are reporting on how he seems to be reactionary.
Nuking on the wrong element makes him do something.
WS's make him do something.
Offensive JA's make him do something.

In the video they show this as well.

On the NA video, the first AV 2HR scene shows him directly using Soul Voice.
Every person who basically had a 2HR used it.

Second AV clip, He readies Chainspell then uses it, possibly showing a reaction. Almost no one uses their 2HR cause they made a mistake and AV was gonna punish them regardless. The ones who did probably did them out of normal reaction regardless.

Third AV clip, he Uses Call Wyvern and everyone once again spams 2HRs.

The first and third clips might be showing us how to break the "Chains"
of 2HR's. The second showing the lack of patience.

Maybe, if we show patience, by not WSing, not overnuking, not oversinging, basically not showing gluttony of our abilities and by showing patience he will spare us. Showing him our purity and patience might just be the key to this fight. Every action seems to have a equal/opposite reaction to AV, we hit him with correct nukes he gets weaker, wrong he eats our faces.
SE has directly stated that our fight speed was all wrong and this may damn well be why.

The possible reaction that AV had to use chain spell was the over cure bombing that happened directly prior, as they zoom in on that as the first thing, then the 2HR.

Might be why you only see the BLM's using only tier 1-4's, that just might prevent Manafont.

Benediction might be caused by doing too much DMG at one time.



You can kind of confirm this by looking at the Sins AV drops. Look at those sins, most of them seem to be reasons that AV does his reactions. So in order to defeat AV we need to free ourselves of sin. Also could be, for the 2HR aspect, counter a sin with a sin. Basically the way the sins work, you have to do something, negating the Sin of sloth (Sin of Indolence), but not too much countering the sin of Indulgence. Pieces are starting to fall together!

I decided to post this here cause people on allah don't seem to care, yet they say it is very possible. I know the best of the best are here and I would really like to see a well founded opinion.

Now as far as the Aern's are concerned, I'm not entirely sure, but SE did seem to try to beat us to death with the fact we need to completly lock his regen to be able to defeat him. And since there were no aern's present I'm gonna guess you need to keep them dead.

And for the wynav's, make sure when you go to nuke them down, to make sure AV isn't hit with the GA spells.

That's 500 dmg with all the -dmg gear you can get, including aegis?

The pld's in the vid were using Earth Staff so I'm pretty sure they just didn't outright eat meteor... He never casted it but if you have aegis, why use staff? Maybe theres something to this, otherwise you'd need to stop him from meteoring

Had BLM's spamming tier 1-4 blizzard on iceday and it kept regening back to 100% almost instantly. Moved him back to where the aerns are, and he stopped regening back to 100%. RDM aern repopped, someone slept, AV manafonted.
