None of the damage was filtered. It did appear as though that was the case but we were unable to do anything significant because we were getting overwhelmed by too many factors.

We'll be testing kiting the Wynavs away from AV and then trying to deal with Aerns and AV rather than Aerns Wyanvs and AV. Sorry we weren't able to run through all the theories, but its pretty difficult when no one else is even having luck popping the fucking thing.

When I can get back online, I'm gonna see if I can get us to pop some JoLs as well. will be easier to jet through theories that way.

Still a lot of things I have on my mind that might work, so the least I can do is get DB to do some runs to run some tests. :D

Edit: Also, I think one of the major important things is, that you should have your JoL alliance set and ready for AV as soon as it pops, this may make it so you can't lolDRK rush JoL, but having some patience and the correct ally to start, might be a pretty big help.

Another question, maybe I read what you were saying wrong earlier, but were you saying that AV did not aggro when he initially popped tonight? The reason I ask is cause when he popped last week he didn't aggro anyone, which worked out nicely since I was already there and ready to sac hold him while people job changed. And I wonder if maybe there is something that people are doing without realizing it to get that initial aggro, or if sometimes he just glitches and doesn't aggro.

I hate and love the glitchiness of Sea, our first prudence that we did gave us a little trouble and I shadowbound one of them. Shadowbind wore and he still stayed still like he was bound so we DoT'd the hell out of him and recovered XD.

We tried, there were a few slip-ups and I'm still not sure why it just deagro'd even though most the alliance was still up. Its never before done that.

after watching that video, i noticed one thing... every time someone cast flash on AV, AV used some spell or impact stream/javalin, or even a 2h...

Another thing that might be nice to know as a fact, can anyone read through chat logs and see exactly how much dmg it took to kill the Wynavs? When we tried to kill them we only had 4 BLMs and we didn't do so hot, but one BLM said that a thundaga for 750 only took one's life down 7%. Of course I was dead at this point from Shadowbind pulling them away from AV and I could not confirm. And really the source that said that tends to stray from the truth.

so, since regen resets during wipe. all your work trying to inhibit AV's regen during jol becomes nul and void if your ls wipes to av upon pop... am i alon ein thinking that this sucks?

i mean most just panic/run/say lolAV during that seemingly rather important moment.

btw, since they have figured out how to nullify AV's regen i bet those kujata guys can kill him if they had a run similar to the one i saw posted on page 16 (sans meteor). that was excellent teamwork guys. and you all deserve the compliment.

and i just wanted to say thankyou for all your work in this. i havent seen one group take on this fight as seriously as you guys since the epic LBvsAV on odin server years back.

one thing i noticed in the vid of your first fight is that AV popped meteor once the second aern repopped. has that been a running trend? i have read that it manafonted when the blm popped, and so on, but was there always 2-3 aerns up and about when manafont>meteor went off? or has manafont>meteor happened with just a single or 0 aerns being up?

sorry bout the plethora of questions in the above paragraph. i just hope the compliments, while being heartfelt, are enough to garner a reply. hehe

suposedly the methods to reduce av's regen spring from,

some from JOL fight
some from elemental nukes
some from place you fight av
regen resets upon ls wipe (av loses agro and needs to be saced to buy time for ls to recoup.)

i might have missed some as well though, as i generaly skip over all posts which bash an individual poster. if something was suggested/proven in one of those type of posts... i missed it as well.

funny thing is these can all be confirmed as hints from SE as well. It just happened to be recently confirmed by the playerbase as well.

Just watching SE video it just seems like they were in a big rush like the clock was against them when they were nuking ice and thunder, at one point it looked like a bunch of newb blms in valkrum chain nuking. I think you only have so long to knock off its regen with spells of the day before AV says fuck you, manafonts, and meteors you which could explain sundi's comment of "Speed".

As I understand it, two different things slow AV's regen which seem to stack, meaning doing both will double the effect to the point his regen is minimal to none.

1. Aga the sharks JoL pops all at once, a'la Yin/Yang
2. Nuke in order. Bliz > bliz 2 > 3 > 4

Assuming for a second SE was correct and that your actions during JoL fight do have something to do with AV's regen, there is again no evidence to support that what you did during the JoL fight was reset if left unclaimed.

So why are people getting angry when they have no evidence to support it?

Moving along, I do wonder some info...

For DemoLS, you guys said Regen was considerably weaker at ??? area. Where did you fight/kill JoL? Is it possible that AV's regen is tied into his actual spawn spot (the one he returns to if left to unclaim) instead of simply the ???'s?

I'm asking because I want to eliminate as much as possible here. If he can be fought outside the cove with reduced regen and avoid the Aerns all together, I would rather attempt that tomorrow when we pop JoL.

his regen is very low when faught in the alcove wher eyou fight/pop JoL and when AV himself pops. if av is removed from alcove his regen increases dramtically

Not 100% if they are going to try AV or not, but they did have a few ppl warp and change jobs.

They do have rdm/nins and pld/nins here so there might be a chance. We'll see

question...why do they only show the blm nuking during the day change part, but theyre not nuking @ any other part other then when it dies???(in SE vid)

if your talking about my previous post, they've actually been nuking the tiers like everyone has been doing on AV. they've been casting freeze II > (sometimes blizzaga 3) > Blizzard 4 > Blizzard 3 > Blizzard 2 > Blizzard. ( These on darksday though). and switched to same sequence since it changed to firesday. and yes its on JoL atm. ppl are still switching jobs.

also for the fight they had the Aern's that spawn here, slept outside the area by a rdm and blm.
